Abstract: A method and apparatus for discontinuous reception desynchronization detection between an enhanced Node B and a user equipment, the method having the steps of: waiting for a predefined event to occur; and upon the predefined event occurring, sending a message from one of the enhanced Node B and the user equipment to the other of the enhanced Node B and user equipment, wherein the message contains one of a request for discontinuous reception period information or discontinuous reception period information, the discontinuous reception period information or discontinuous reception period information being utilized to detect desynchronization.
Abstract: The embodiment of the invention provides a media resource adaptation method, a media gateway controller and a server. In an embodiment of the invention, the services, the CTIS and the MGC are deployed in the center, each dispersed area is only equipped with the access equipment or the resource equipment, the deployment structure is simple, and the maintenance workload is less. The CTIS decides the resource adaptation, and the resource can be extended to the service sides. Therefore, the resource usage is flexible. The user terminal call can obtain the local media services, which reduces the occupancy of a VoIP long-distance link, thus lowering the operation cost. Furthermore, the global share of the media resources is realized, which is favorable for load balance and reduces the cost of redundancy devices.
Abstract: A network comprises a plurality of interconnected switches that implement a topology database synchronization technique in which each switch determines whether its topology database has already been transmitted to a neighboring switch when a new link is formed to the neighboring switch. When a new electrical connection is detected, the local switch determines whether any of its other ports have already been connected to the same neighboring switch. If no other port on the local switch has been connected to the neighboring switch, the local switch transmits its topology database to the neighboring switch. If the local switch determines that it has already been connected to the neighboring switch via another one of its ports, the local switch does not yet again copy of the database to the neighboring switch. Also, link state record updates are propagated via only one inter-switch link to a neighboring switch, not all possible links.
Abstract: A relay node which includes a processor configured to multiplex a plurality of medium access control layer (MAC) packet data units (PDUs) that correspond to a plurality of user agents to form a Super-MAC PDU. The Super-MAC PDU includes a header. The header includes a plurality of Super-MAC PDU subheaders related to the MAC PDUs.
Abstract: A method of maintaining a location of a wellbore servicing device includes connecting a pressure activated hold-down tool (PAHT) to the wellbore servicing device, delivering the wellbore servicing device and the PAHT into a wellbore, selectively increasing a curvature of the PAHT in response to a change in a fluid pressure, and engaging the PAHT with a feature of a wellbore to prevent longitudinal movement of the wellbore servicing device. A PAHT has pressure actuated elements that selectively provide an unactuated state in which the PAHT lies substantially along a longitudinal axis and the pressure actuated elements selectively lie increasingly deviated from the longitudinal axis in response to a change in pressure applied to the PAHT. At least one of the pressure actuated elements has a tooth configured for selective resistive engagement with a feature of the wellbore.
Abstract: A method for a watcher to receive presence information. The method includes the watcher requesting presence information from a presence access layer and then disconnecting from the presence access layer. The method further includes the presence access layer receiving the requested information through a persistent session with a presence server, storing the requested information, and delivering the requested information to the watcher after the watcher reconnects to the presence access layer.

Abstract: A computerized trading system permits global currency trading. The system preferably includes multiple affiliates at the local level, each in a different country, that act as introducing agents. Between these local affiliates there is a global exchange or hub, with the local affiliates and the global hub being arranged in a hub-and-spoke arrangement. Introducing affiliates are responsible for handling customer accounts and information, and accepting orders. The global exchange is responsible for routing orders to one or multiple foreign exchange liquidity banks to handle foreign exchange transactions to convert one currency into another.
Abstract: A method comprising polarizing and coupling an electromagnetic beam to a first-order transverse electric (TE1) mode with respect to a parallel plate waveguide (PPWG) integrated resonator comprising two plates and a cavity, sending the electromagnetic beam into the PPWG integrated resonator to excite the cavity by the TE1 mode and cause a resonance response, and obtaining wave amplitude data that comprises a resonant frequency, and obtaining the refractive index of fluids filling the cavity via the shift in resonant frequency.
Abstract: Systems and methods for configuring a universal serial bus (USB) including for connection by a peripheral device by detecting an attach event at a USB port on the peripheral device; receiving, at the USB port, a first request for device identification; sending, at the USB port, a first identification data; receiving, at the USB port, a query related to the first identification data, the query indicating software associated with the vendor identifier is supported by the sender of the query; simulating a detach and then an attach at the USB port; receiving, at the USB port, a second request for device identification; and sending, at the USB port, a second identification data that includes an indication that the peripheral device supports at least one function from a plurality of functions that are different from the functionality defined by a generic device class code.
