Abstract: An enclosure includes a chamber holding a driver with an end at a first opening in a housing and a rear end nearby a first terminal end of a passageway having a second terminal end at a second opening in the housing. The driver projects sound waves into a listening area directly through the first opening and simultaneously projects sound waves along the passageway and out the second opening into the listening area. The passageway comprises expansion and compression zones of different cross-sectional areas.

Abstract: An ultrasonic fuel/power enhancer for producing sound and ultrasound at different wind speeds and conditions is provided. The enhancer is mountable in an air intake of a vehicle with the vehicle having a predetermined number of cylinders and each cylinder having a combustion chamber. The enhancer comprises at least one band and at least one tubular whistle. A whistle connection mechanism is wrapped around the whistle with the whistle connection mechanism having at least one band receiving aperture and the band insertable through one of the band receiving apertures. At least one stabilizing tab is mounted to the whistle connection mechanism wherein the whistle is shaped and designed to produce sonic and ultrasonic sounds thereby atomizing gas droplets being supplied to the combustion chamber of each cylinder.

Abstract: A collapsible support structure comprises a plurality of interconnected substantially triangular frame sections connected by flexible joints at corners thereof. At least some of the interconnected frame sections share a collapsible tubular member as one side of the interconnected triangular frame sections and at least some of the ends of rigid tubular members of the interconnected frame sections are disposed between adjacent shared collapsible tubular members. An elongated flexible tensioning member extends through the shared collapsible tubular members and between the ends of the rigid tubular members disposed between adjacent shared collapsible tubular members. The rigid tubular members of some of the interconnected frame sections form a frame roof with ends thereof tied to form a flexible joint at the apex frame roof.

Abstract: A dispenser cap is threaded onto a container that may hold liquids of varying viscosity. The dispenser cap has a cover that can be flipped open and closed. Integral with this cover is a plurality of bristles that can be used to scrub various surfaces.

Abstract: A bed base has parts adapted to be assembled together manually without the use of a tool or separate, non-integrated connectors. These parts include side members, corner connectors, and a cross-rail assembly. The side members are assembled into a rectangular support and attached at its corners by a male-female connection mechanisms in lower portions of the side members. The corner connectors overlap and lock together the upper portions of adjacent side members at the corners and are attached by male-female connection mechanisms. Each opposed side member includes a notch along an upper portion and the notches in the opposed side members are aligned upon assembly. The cross-rail assembly, which sits across the opposed side members within the notches, has an orthogonal leg member near each end. Each individual leg member projects through a corresponding notch and terminates in one component of two-component connector.

Abstract: A bed base comprises a rectangular support having side members connected at corners by a corner connector assembly including a locator element in a leg of a plate member that interacts with a locator element in a side member. A cross-rail assembly includes an elongated bar member that fits in notches in upper edge sections of opposed side members and a pair of leg members near opposed ends the elongated bar member pass through the notches upon attaching the cross-rail assembly to the rectangular support.

Abstract: A seal removal tool includes a hollow cylindrical member, an advancing device, and a extracting device. The cylindrical member has an open, circular first end with a barbed knife-edge that has a perimeter with a diameter substantially equal to an inside diameter of an inner circular edge of an annular seal fitting snuggly around an exposed end of a shaft. A second end of the cylindrical member is partially closed with an enlarged threaded opening therein. The advancing device comprises a first threaded elongated rod element and a pressing portion for pressing against the partially closed second end. The extracting device comprises a second threaded elongated rod element having an enlarged tip for engaging the exposed end of the shaft after disengaging the advancing device. The enlarged tip is configured to screw into an enlarged threaded opening in the cylindrical member and to advance axially and press against the exposed end of the shaft as the second threaded elongated rod element is rotated.

Abstract: A non-lethal method of cock fighting includes providing each gamecock with a garment such as a vest or collar that at least partially covers the body of the gamecock and carries a sensor at a predetermined location on the garment and a signal transmission device. The signal transmission device generates a signal when the sensor is struck by a gamecock. The spurs of each gamecock are covered with a protective device to prevent the spurs from causing injury during the cock fight and their beaks are taped shut. A scoring apparatus is provided that is responsive to the signal and includes a visual display that displays a numerical score for each gamecock. The numerical score is based, at least in part, on the number strikes detected by the sensor being struck over a predetermined time period during the cock fight.

Abstract: End portions of a pair of crossbar bed frame members are detachably connected by a locking mechanism including an arm attached by the pivot element to one frame member to rotate between a locked condition and an unlocked condition. One frame member has a first projection and the pivot element includes a second projection. A pair of elongated slots in the frame members receive the projections when the frame members are longitudinally oriented and the end portions are overlapping. The end portions have openings therein that are aligned when the end portions overlap. The arm has a portion that is inserted in the aligned openings when in the locked condition and withdrawn from the aligned openings to allow the frame members to be disconnected and separated when in the unlocked condition.

Abstract: A dispenser cap with an applicator is connected to a container and a detachable enclosure protects the applicator when the dispenser is not in use. When attached to the cap, the enclosure has a pin that blocks an opening in the cap. The container may hold any fluid material, for example, a skin care product, deodorant, paint, etc. The container may contain various means of identifying the color of paint contained therein, and only a small amount of paint is within the container. This enables a consumer to obtain a number of containers each holding a paint of a different color to apply to a test surface.

Abstract: A front loading refuse vehicle includes at least one positive displacement pump having an associated valve system in fluid communication with drive mechanism that operates a lifting arm, packer, a rear door of the vehicle, and a hoist for a refuse storage body. The valve system includes at least one closed-centered valve with a spool mechanism having a pressure compensator to maintain a constant flow rate of fluid through the valve regardless of differential in pressure across the valve for any given position of the spool mechanism. Two pumps with two separate hydraulic control systems are used with a side loading refuse vehicle. An electrical/electronic control system including a microprocessor operates the valve systems for each vehicle.

Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for providing a collapsible support structure strut, which may include a strut member; a hollow tubular terminal end portion of the strut member having an inner surface; and a detachable looped eyelet having at least one loop and a pair of extending legs, the legs being springedly biased to engage the tubular terminal end of the strut, thereby frictionally holding the looped eyelet in place at the terminal end of the strut. The apparatus and method may also employ a holding plug, with first and second holding groove opposingly placed in the periphery of the holding plug, having at least a portion thereof that is shaped and sized to frictionally engage the inner surface of the tubular terminal end of the strut, to frictionally hold the holding plug in engagement with the strut. The detachable looped eyelet may also have at least two loop.

Abstract: A medical device includes a valve comprising a pair of plates holding in tension a membrane folded over to form a chamber with an elongated, slit-like opening along adjoining edges. An inlet tube in communication with the chamber extends outwardly. The valve is installed in a pocket of a flexible distribution plate having ridges emanating from the pocket in a radial pattern. The device is implanted in the globe of the eye of a patient between the rectus muscles.

Abstract: A motorcycle cruise 60 control includes a throttle 12 attached to a handlebar 15 of a motorcycle 14 that controls the motorcycle's speed and an indexer 100 attached to the throttle. The throttle 12 is turned manually using normal torque to increase the speed of the motorcycle, and the indexer 100 has a cruise position and a neutral position. In the cruise position, the indexer 100 holds the throttle 12 in a selected position yet enables the throttle to be turned manually in a stepwise manner. A manual actuator 82 attached to the indexer 100 is used to switch manually the indexer between the cruise position and the neutral position. The throttle 12 with the indexer 100 in the neutral position is turned using essentially the normal torque, and with the indexer in the cruise position is turned using substantially greater than the normal torque.

Abstract: A pressure relief valve opens at a predetermined pressure of fluid flowing into the valve. It includes a body member having a passageway with an inlet and an outlet and a barrier member between the inlet and outlet that prevents fluid from flowing between the inlet and outlet. There is a port along the passageway between the inlet and the outlet, and a moveable sealing element having a closed position where said sealing element is seated in the port and an open position where the sealing element is withdrawn from the port. The port is in fluid communication with the outlet when the sealing element is moved to the open position. A disc spring engages the sealing element. This disc spring has a first position holding the sealing element in the port when the pressure of the fluid is below the predetermined pressure and a second position withdrawing the sealing element from the port when the pressure of the fluid exceeds the predetermined pressure.

Abstract: A vehicle (10a) includes an elongated opening (35) defined by a frame (33) in a side (30) of the vehicle. The opening (35) receives therein a window pane (34) and a seal (40) is positioned in the space between the frame (33) and the window pane (34). The elongated opening (35) has opposed ends with side panels (38) adjacent the ends of the opening (35) and positioned so that an end portion of each panel overlies the opening. Disposed between an interior surface of opposed end portions of the window pane (34) and the end portion of the panel overlying the opening (35) is an essentially opaque material. There is at least one lamp (32) attached to the window pane (34) directly on an exterior surface of the end portions of the window pane (34) opposite the end portions of the panel (38).

A roller gate (20) positioned at the exit station (22) to receive the rows of dough packets exiting the dough packet feeder (18) includes a first roller member (20a ) having three rows of receptacles (20b ) spaced apart from each other 120.degree. and each sized to receive an individual dough packet having the first shape. A bakery pan indexing feeder (26) advances in a step-wise manner bakery pans (60) or(62) into which the dough packets are deposited by a moving carrier member (52) positioned between the roller gate (20) and the bakery pan indexing feeder (26). The moving carrier member (52) has a receiving end onto which the rows of dough packets are deposited after leaving the roller gate (20) and an exit end where the dough packets leave the moving carrier member.
