Abstract: A refuse collection vehicle has a lifting apparatus for lifting a refuse storage container onto and off the vehicle's flat bed body. The lifting apparatus employs a pulley apparatus including a plurality of pulleys and a pulley carrier that is moved reciprocally by a single fluid actuated cylinder. A pulley cable is connected to the pulleys in a predetermined manner to apply to the pulley carrier substantially equal forces so the carrier avoids twisting laterally as it moves reciprocally.

Abstract: A simulated golf green for practicing variably positioned long distance approach shots on a golf driving practice range; in the form of a mobile golf practice green, ball pickup and return apparatus, having a golf ball impact mat and sensor with a display therefor, having a stray ball gathering and collecting pickup, and having a stationary golf ball return conveyor for reuse of said balls at a golfer's tee. Mobility for positioning the green and for ball collection and for ball return being manual by remote control or by computer programming for routing and positioning the golf practice green, and maneuverability embodied either in a steerable ground supported wheeled vehicle, or in a movable and positionable floating vehicle supported on a water pond golf range trap.

Abstract: Decorative lights includes a plurality lamps attached to a conductive line terminating in a plug member adapted to be connected to a source of electrical power. Each lamp comprises an enclosure with a light source therein. The enclosure has an opaque portion and a light transmitting portion, and the opaque and a light transmitting portions arranged to resemble an open eye. A mouthpiece member is adapted to be removably attached to the support member.

Abstract: A fountain includes a container having a top with an opening therein, a bottom, and an interior for holding a liquid, such as water. An elongated, hollow support member is positioned within the interior and extending from the opening in the top. This support member has a first end mounted at or near the bottom of the container, a second end terminating a predetermined distance above the opening in the top, and an exterior surface over which liquid flows. A pump positioned within the interior and operably connected to the first end of the support member pumps liquid in the interior into and through the hollow support member to flow out its second end and then along the exterior surface of the support member to return to the interior of the container. A faucet is attached to the second end of the support member in a manner which allows the liquid to flow from the second end.

Abstract: An insert for a golf bag is adapted to be removably inserted into an open end of a golf bag. The insert includes a wall structure adapted to fit snugly within the open end upon insertion. The wall structure comprises a plurality of walls forming a plurality of substantially rectangular golf club receptacles arranged in at least four separate rows. The wall structure has a first element of a two-element locking mechanism which interlocks upon insertion of the insert into the open end of the golf bag. The second element of the two-element locking mechanism is located at the open end of the golf bag. The insert is formed from a polymeric material which is a soft, pliable, deformable and resilient, enabling a user to grip the unitary wall structure and deform it to disengage the elements of the locking mechanism and remove the insert from the open end of the golf bag.

Abstract: A truck assembly for a skateboard includes an axle housing, a base, and a kingpin connecting the axle housing and base. The kingpin holds the axle housing and a base surface of the base a predetermined distance apart. The truck further includes a turning mechanism between the axle housing and base, around the kingpin. The turning mechanism includes opposed cam surfaces that are angled along the axis of the kingpin and an elastomeric bushing so that rotating the axle housing about the kingpin pushes the cam surfaces apart, against the compression pressure of the elastomeric bushing. The truck assembly additionally includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the pressure against the bushing. The adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment surface on the base of the truck assembly with two or more adjustment points, each a different distance from the base surface along the direction of the kingpin. An adjustment ring surrounds the kingpin, between the base surface and the turning mechanism.

Abstract: A motorcycle having a fork lock includes a cover which is adapted to be manually moved between a cover position where the cover overlies the fork lock and an uncovered position where the fork lock is exposed to allow a key to be inserted into the fork lock. The fork lock is attached to a mounting member carried between a pair of handle bars for the motorcycle. This mounting member includes a raised platform of a predetermined configuration in which the fork lock is seated. The cover includes a cover plate and a base plate, and the base plate has an underside to which is secured a double sided adhesive member. A first side of the adhesive member is bonded to the underside of the base plate and the second side of the adhesive member having an adhesive surface.

Abstract: Decorative lights includes a plurality of pairs of lamps attached to a conductive line terminating in a plug member adapted to be connected to a source of electrical power. Each pair of lamps are connected to a rigid support member that maintains each individual lamp of each pair spaced apart at a predetermined distance. Each lamp comprises an enclosure with a light source therein. The enclosure has an opaque portion and a light transmitting portion, and the opaque and a light transmitting portions arranged to resemble an open eye. A mouthpiece member is adapted to be removably attached to the support member.

Abstract: A training device (FIGS. 1 and 2) for a person performing a physical activity wherein the proper performance thereof is related to the proper movement by the person (10). The device comprises a movement sensor (40), a trigger event sensor (50) for sensing the occurrence of a specific physical trigger event, a processor (60), an electronic memory (70), and a protective enclosure (95). The movement sensor (40) provides movement signal values to the processor (60), which is able to store these movement signal values in the memory (70). The trigger event sensor (50) provides trigger event signal values to the processor (60), such trigger event signal values corresponding to the occurrence of the specific physical trigger event near the device (FIGS. 1 and 2). The processor (60) is able to store the trigger event signal values in the memory (70), and evaluate the trigger event signal values (FIGS. 4A-4D, and 90) to determine if the specific trigger event has occurred.

Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus, kits and methods for cleaning an air conditioning unit having an air conduit defined by at least one wall with a hole therein the allows a cleaner to be introduced between a fan and a heat exchanger of the unit positioned along the conduit. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a resilient female component that is manually inserted into the hole. The female component has an opening therein that provides access to the conduit between the fan and the heat exchanger. A male component is removably received within the female component and it has a passageway therein that allows the cleaner to flow therethrough into the conduit. A plug is manually inserted into the opening upon removal of the male component. In another embodiment of the apparatus, a one way valve is attached to the wall at a point that allows a cleaner to be introduced between the fan and the heat exchanger of the unit, and a connector attached to a container of cleaner is removably attached to the one way valve.

Abstract: A golf bag comprises a bag body including a sidewall and having cavity therein adapted to hold golf clubs, and a shoulder strap connected to the sidewall and adapted to be draped over a shoulder of a user. Magnetic material is attached to the shoulder strap or the sidewall or both. It is positioned next to the area of the user's body experiencing pain as the golf bag is carried and assists in alleviating this pain.

Abstract: A novel irrigation valve having a single central inlet and a plurality of radially located outlets each covered by a sliding disk valve. Each disk valve is manually operable. and in automatic mode is operated by the interference action of an innovative indexing mechanism which uses the hydraulic pressure of the inlet for its operation. a single three-way solenoid valve is energized to actuate a piston within the indexing mechanism while a pin-teeth engagement of a cylinder-indexer assembly converts the linear motion of a piston rod into a rotary motion of an indexing arm. A battery operated timer controls the time intervals between each incremental rotation of an indexing arm in sequence until it is returned to its home position. The housing of the valve is compact and of low profile, thereby simplifying its manufacturing, assembling, installation and maintenance and reducing cost.

Abstract: A golf bag comprises a bag body with a handle located adjacent an open mouth of the bag. The handle is used to facilitate removing the golf bag from a user's shoulder by grasping the handle with one hand while sliding the strap off the shoulder, and lowering the bag to a rest position while maintaining grasping of the handle to support the weight of the golf bag as the bag is lowered.

Abstract: A door structure for a vehicle has a door seated in a door jam frame at the rear end of the vehicle. The door jam fame has a first upright with an opening therein disposed nearby one side of the vehicle to provide a space between this side and the first upright. A second upright is nearby the other side of the vehicle. A hinge member is attached to the door which includes a first connecting member attached to the door member near the one side of the vehicle, a second connecting member pivotally attached to the first upright and disposed in the space between the one side of the vehicle and the first upright, and an intermediate arcuate member connected between the first and second connecting members which extends through the opening in the first upright.

Abstract: Disclosed is a medical device for draining fluid which includes a shell made of a flexible, resilient material. The shell has an aerofoil-like shape with opposed ends and an anterior cavity and a posterior cavity separated by a partition wall. An inlet tube has a first end in communication with the fluid and a second end in communication with anterior cavity and an outlet tube has a first end in communication the posterior cavity and a second end from which the fluid is drained. A one-way directional flow valve is housed within the posterior cavity and it has an inlet end connected to the partition wall which is in communication with the anterior cavity and an outlet end in communication with the posterior cavity.

Abstract: A reminder device includes a case sized so that said case is adapted to be worn on the wrist of a user. The case holds a microprocessor, a tactile alarm, an electric clock, and a battery which provides electric power to the microprocessor, the tactile alarm, and the electric clock. A display on the case displays from time to time (a) a pay attention notice alerting the user to be attentive, and (b) one of a plurality a pre-programmed reminder messages. A control panel enables the user to select a periodic interval at which the pay attention notice is displayed, the desired pre-programmed reminder message displayed, and the day and time at which the pre-programmed reminder message is displayed. The alarm is activated when the pay attention notice is displayed and when the pre-programmed reminder message is displayed.

Abstract: An exercise belt 10 to be worn around the waist of a user has a case 14 holding a control switch S1, a switch actuator 22, a battery 16, a vibrator 20, and a motor 18 connected to the vibrator 20 to cause the vibrator 20 to vibrate upon energization of the motor 18 by the battery 16 when the control switch S1 changes states. A light emitting device 28 is attached to the case 14 and positioned to be observed when the belt 10 is worn around the waist of a user. A strap 12 has one end attached to one end of the case 14 and another end connected to the switch actuator 22. This strap 12 is adjustable to fit snugly around the waist of a user, with expansion of the user's waist moving the switch actuator 22 to change the state of the control switch S1, energizing the motor 18, vibrator 20, and light emitting device 28.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tool 20 for grasping a nut 9 and initiating the threading of the nut to a the difficult-to-access threaded counterpart element 28 which is in a difficult-to-access location. The tool 20 includes a socket body 1 having expandable jaws 5 that have spring action. The jaws 5 terminate in an open mouth 5a having a configuration corresponding to the configuration of the nut 9. The nut 9 is manually inserted into the open mouth 5a with the nut disposed in an orientation that enables it to be positioned in the difficult-to-access socket 28. The socket body is connected to a flexible arm 11 having a passageway 33 extending though it which houses a flexible shaft 34. This shaft 34 is connected to the socket body 1, so that rotation of the shaft rotates the socket body. The arm 11 includes a series of interconnected links 11a which may be turn and twisted relative to each other to configure the arm 11 to reach the difficult-to-access socket 28.
