  • Patent number: 4503966
Abstract: A device for aligning flat bottomed rolls, in particular hotdog rolls, comprises a plurality of elongated parallel stalls for receiving flat bottomed rolls, a first conveyor movable over at least a portion of the stalls for distributing rolls into the stalls in a random manner, a second conveyor movable in a feed direction parallel to the stalls, under the stalls, for conveying rolls along the stalls, a third conveyor movalbe transversely to the feed direction over the second conveyor and under the stalls for flipping the rolls. The third conveyor has a friction surface which engages the rolls and causes them to roll until a flat bottom of the rolls engage the third conveyor. The friction surface is insufficient to thereafter rotate the rolls further. Drive motors are connected to the first, second and third conveyor. Each of the rolls in the stalls are thus rotated in a properly aligned upright position in which they can be transfered to a packing device.

  • Patent number: 4392351
Abstract: A multi-cylinder Stirling engine comprises a stationary casing, working fluid, at least one heat source, a first heat exchanger for carrying the working fluid and for transferring heat from the heat source to the working fluid thereby raising the working fluid's temperature, and an output shaft rotatably supported by the stationary casing, which provides reaction surface members in at least one chamber where the working fluid is allowed to expand as the reaction members are allowed to move with respect to the casing. A bi-directional flow regenerator with two chambers, a second heat exchanger for further lowering the temperature of the working fluid to a predetermined temperature, and a compression device for returning the relatively cool and therefore dense working fluid back into the first heat exchanger at a lower expense of work are provided. The casing output shaft with reaction members, expansion chamber and compression device have a rotary engine configuration.

  • Patent number: 4348636
Abstract: An integrated circuit tester, comprising switching means for adjusting the logic state of the pins of a test socket to a logic state of "1" and "0" and following a debounced pulsating signal, depending on the logic function and mode of operation of the IC chip under test. Electronic detection means serve to detect the logic state of each pin which is then displayed by luminus means. A card library of IC diagrams provides a diagram for each IC chip that can be tested by the invention with pin numbers, supported adjacent to the luminous display means, so that the significance of each pin is clearly demonstrated. The whole or part of the chip under test is detected as faulty if the pattern of the luminous display with the pulsating signal connected to predetermined input pins, does not obey the predetermined operation of the chip under test. The tester also provides extentions so that the pins of the test socket may be connected to a breadboarding strip and to in circuit operating IC chips.

  • Patent number: 4286786
Abstract: A soccer training goal comprising, a goal frame with a net connected thereto which defines a goal space with a goal opening. An inclined plate is connected to the goal frame at the bottom of the goal space and is inclined downwardly toward the goal opening, whereby a soccer ball kicked into the goal space will initially be retained within the goal space by hitting the net, whereby the net absorbs the impact of the ball and then rolls out of the goal back to the practicing kicker. An adjustment device may be connected between the inclined plate and the goal frame to allow for the variation of the incline on the inclined plate to vary the speed at which the soccer ball leaves the goal space. The inclined plate may further be positioned vertically and provided with markings such as for example, numbers 1 to 10 to act as a soccer ball target to be utilized in accuracy shooting practice.
