Abstract: An angular velocity detector includes vibrator made of piezoelectric material and having a pair of arms. A pair of driving electrodes are attached to the arms in order to generate vibrations in the arms. A pair of detecting electrodes, which are attached to the arms, detect the vibrations of the arms. Therefore, the pair of driving electrodes can cause the arms to vibrate uniformly and stably, so that a S/N ratio of the angular velocity sensor can be improved.
Abstract: A flexible closed cell polymeric foam contains expandable graphite as fire retardant. The foam is prepared by mixing a polymer, a curing agent, at least one blowing agent and an expandable graphite at a temperature of at least 100.degree. C. but below a temperature causing activation of the blowing agent to foam a foamable mixture and thereafter heating the foamable mixture to activate the blowing agent and cause foaming. The method of preparation may additionally include a curing step in which the foamable mixture is heated under pressure to activate simultaneously each of a curing agent, which is preferably a free radical curing agent, and a foaming agent. The foams are capable of meeting the U.S. Federal Aviation Authority Standards, especially the oil burner test of FAR 25 Appendix F, part II.

Abstract: For implementing frequency-hopping in a base station, of a digital cellular radio system a first signal modulated by a base band data signal and transmitted on a first carrier frequency. The signal is divided in the time domain into several time slots, of which one time slot transmits the common control channel of the base station equipment and the other time slots transmit information regarding different connections. For an economical implementation of frequency-hopping in a base station having one transceiver unit, the base station further transmits a second signal modulated by the same base band data signal, on a second carrier frequency. The second signal is divided in the time domain into several time slots, each of which transmits the same information as the first signal, except the time slot that transmits the common control channel of the base station equipment.

Abstract: A signal indicating device mounted on the wall of a cover box or the like. The box encloses electrical components such as contactors, relays and other devices for registration of e.g. the operational conditions of an industrial process. A printed circuit indicating or control card is connected between the electrical components and the signal indicating device. The signal indicating device comprises at least one row of signalling lamps mounted on a printed circuit card, which is hermetically enclosed in a case with the signalling lamps projecting through holes formed in one of the sides of the case. Also mounted on the printed-circuit card are plugs passing through one side of the case so as to project externally thereof and arranged to be connected with corresponding plugs on the printed circuit indicating or control card via an opening formed in the wall of the cover box.
Abstract: A wafer cassette through which a sonic wave is evenly transferred to a substrate in a quartz bath, and a cleaning system adopting the wafer cassette are provided. In the wafer cassette, a hole for evenly transferring the sonic wave to the substrate is formed. The cleaning system includes a vibration plate for generating a sonic wave, placed at the lowest portion of the cleaning system, a sink placed on the vibration plate, a quartz bath placed in the sink and spaced from the bottom of the sink, in which a wafer cassette is placed, a plurality of water supplies for supplying a cleaning solution, placed in the bottom of the quartz bath and a water drain for draining the cleaning solution overflown from the quartz bath, placed on the bottom of the sink, opposite to the water supplies, wherein the vibration plate is placed between the water drain and the water supplies.
Abstract: An arrangement for driving a measuring spindle of a balancing machine has a friction wheel which is drivable by an electric motor and which can be brought into and out of a condition of driving relationship with the measuring spindle. The electric motor and the friction wheel form a motion unit supported movably about a mounting assembly which is disposed on the machine frame structure and which is arranged in displaced relationship with the axis of the rotor of the electric motor. A torque which is produced about the mounting assembly when the rotor of the electric motor is accelerated causes movement of the motion unit thereby to produce the driving connection between the friction wheel and the measuring spindle.
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes an information displaying traffic sign which comprises a board, the front side of which is formed of dusters of LED devices. Visors are mounted to the front of the board, each visor being provided with an opening on its top face so that vertical air circulation along the front side of the board may be permitted to cool the LED devices. Shades are provided, adjacent to each visor opening, to prevent sun rays from reaching the LED devices.
Abstract: A second header pipe forming a second header of a refrigerant condenser and a receiver are joined by brazing. In a portion where the second header pipe and receiver are communicated, four ribs provided at a perimeter of a communication hole of the second header pipe are inserted within a communication hole of the receiver, and thereafter ribs are bent in an outer direction of the hole, and the second header and the receiver are provisionally joined at the communication-hole portion prior to brazing. Additionally, after a projection provided on an upper-side cap of the receiver has been inserted into an insertion hole provided in the second header pipe, an end portion thereof is widened outwardly, and the second header pipe and receiver are provisionally joined prior to brazing. In this way, both ends of the receiver are provisionally joined to the second header pipe prior to brazing, and so the second header and the receiver do not slip during brazing.

Abstract: A data transmission method in a cellular radio system, comprising as network elements a base station controller and base stations connected in series thereto via data transmission links. Data is transmitted over the data transmission links in frames divided in time slots. To control the data transmission network formed by the data transmission links, configuration data indicating in which time slots of the frames the useful data intended for the network elements is carried is transmitted to the network elements in a predetermined time slot of the frames.
