Abstract: A system and method are described for providing interactive television services and for switching between television programs, such as to an interactive program session from another program. An interactive server, capable of providing requested interactive video services to a set of subscribers in a given geographic area, is coupled to a network to which subscriber set top boxes are also coupled. Television programming, which may be furnished by any number of sources, is accompanied by a signal that indicates the availability of other programming, such as interactive television service related to the program being viewed, as well as information to be used in requesting such service. The user, when notified by this signal, may input to the set top box a request for a second program, such as an interactive program or application. The identity of the original program channel is stored, and a session with the video service provider is established over the network.
Abstract: The structural framing system comprises a steel beam that supports flooring components interconnected through the addition of a solidifying material such as poured concrete. A structural framing system is created by anchoring steel beams to vertical columns, spanning floor sections between the steel beams, pouring concrete into the interior of the beams and contacting the flooring components, and then forming a rigid joint between the steel beam, floor sections and columns through the addition of a bonding layer.
Abstract: A reuseable war game device launches paint-balls or liquid colorant or both simultaneously, and can be aimed and fired while hand-held, can be concealed and aimed but remotely triggered, is easy to dismantle and repair under field conditions, is durable enough to withstand all field conditions, and is concealable, compact and easily portable. The device comprises a launch housing that includes a launch barrel joined to a rotatable muzzle assembly that is fixed on a target; a chamber housing that includes a charge chamber which receives and stores a charge; a hammer chamber that includes a retractable hammer that when released from a cocked position is thrust toward the charge chamber; a trigger that is drawn to retract the hammer to the cocked position; and, a check valve located between the launch barrel and the charge chamber that permits flow only from the charge chamber to the launch housing.
