Abstract: A method and an apparatus for measuring spherical objects, such as golf ball cores, on line. The spherical objects are automatically moved through a measuring field and are positioned co-linear to an axis of a plane drawn by a high frequency scanning laser, wherein the center of each object intersects with the laser beam. The objects are constantly rotated as they translate through the measuring field such that a plurality of planes are scanned, and the resulting scans are sent offline to a controller for analysis.
In another embodiment, the spherical objects are measured by having multiple CCD or PMT vision cameras take a number of object images that are therein sent offline to a controller for analysis.
Abstract: A tool for installing fiberglass insulation. The tool having a handle with a telescopically movable post for extending its length. The tool having a grasping portion for holding the insulation. The grasping potion comprising of a pair of gripping plates, each with a stabilizing strip attached thereto. A cam flange section integral with the tops of the plates and having a pair of arc shaped slots for sliding engagement with the plates. Rotation of the handle causing the plates to either open or close.
Abstract: A pull-top lid for a pressurized tennis ball container having a rubber safety shield for protecting against injury from the sharp pressing seam edge of the removed lid.
The rubber gasket-like safety shield being bonded to the upper surface of the top enclosure panel and reaching beyond the pressing seam of the lid such that protection against injury is provided by the shield being extended beyond the sharp edge of the sheet metal.
An alternative embodiment having an outer perimeter comprised of an arch shaped extension arm extending across the pressing seam and resting upon the circular lip of the raised rim. The lid upon being pulled off the the top panel synchonously causes the extension arm to wrap about and encapsulate the sharp edge of the pressing seam thereby preventing injury of any body parts.
Abstract: An improved apparatus comprising a three plate mold for forming golf ball cores having dual parting lines. The mold comprises top, center and bottom plates, each having at least one mold insert with each insert having a cavity therein. The three cavities collectively form a spherical shape for molding a golf ball core. Upon the cores being formed, the center plate holding the cores, is lifted and rotated to a juxtaposed position against a stripping plate, whereby the cores are mechanically separated from both the mold and overflow flashing.
Abstract: A three wheel jogging stroller having a conversion kit for enabling the stroller to be interchangeable between a single seat and a double seat model. The conversion requiring only the installation of a insert into the handlebar and an insert into the rear axle with a center bar between the handlebar and the front end and a connecting brace between the handlebar and rear axle. The center bar providing support for both seats. Pivoting means for the structural rods and handlebar extensions all being built into the basic stroller chassis. The entire conversion being performed without the need of any auxiliary tools.
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a multi-layered core golf ball that comprises a center, a cover and a thin laminate comprising of at least one core layer formed around the center to create an inner ball, wherein the laminate includes at least one outer core layer that is relatively stiff and hard relative to the center, at least one outermost core layer that is heavily filled with a density increasing material and at least one core layer that functions as a moisture vapor barrier. One core layer may serve to provide all the functions in a single layer.

Abstract: A magnification device for assisting people to read the small print on medicine vials/bottles. The device including a magnifying lens having the ability to move towards or away from the indicia on the bottle to further aid the user to focus per their particular level of eyesight. A pair of rods are coaxial disposed within a corresponding pair of channels to enable the lens to be focused by pushing or pulling the lens. The present invention is designed to be used with virtually all manufactured bottle caps. The device can either be permanently affixed to the bottle cap, and thereby be disposable with the cap; or it can be removably connected and therefore be reusable.
Abstract: A lightweight and inexpensive mask providing protection to the nose and eyes of dental patients from contaminants that are present in the dental office. The Mask having a nose portion having an elasticized cord transversing across the philtrum area of a patient thereby causing the mask to adopt a triangular shape about the nose. The nose portion being caused to create a natural ventilation along the nasolabial groove areas of the patient. The mask further including a pair of transparent eye panels and means for affixing the mask on the patient's face.
Abstract: A combination golf glove and golf ball marker for detachably securing a ball marker of ferromagnetic material to a magnet seated within a holder. The marker holder having an improvement in the manner it is fasted to the glove. An extension wing completely encircles a retaining wall housing the magnet and marker. The wing is sewn between an outer and inner surface of material.
Abstract: A paint brush having a removable bristle pack which snaps on and off a handle portion by means of a resilient prong mounted pin. The present invention employs a slot in the ferrule of the bristle pack to receive with a friction fit the pin extending resiliently from the handle. In assembly the handle is merely inserted into the ferrule until the pin snaps into place, and the bristle pack can be removed for cleaning or changing by depressing the pin which will thereby cause the bristle pack to be disengaged.
Abstract: A system for the removing of interference (ingress) in cable modems without reducing the data rate or changing the frequency of the signal. The invention comprises both, a variable band stop filter bank, and a non-linear equalization system. The band stop filter bank removes ingress while the equalization system, comprising of an inner and an outer equalizer, removes the distortion created by the band stop filtering. A spectrum monitor detects both the presence of ingress and its frequency, then feeds the data to a digital signal processor which calculates the distortion removal settings for the equalizers. No additional hardware of software is required in the users homes, but rather the invention is designed to be used solely at the head end and in addition to the basic Cable Modem Termination System.
