Abstract: A remote control rear view mirror which includes; a mirror member and a mirror supporting member of molded plastic and each mounted on transversely disposed trunnion supports in a housing member, a gear member provided on the mirror supporting member and engaged with a gear segment provided on the mirror member, single cable means operative of the gear member for turning it and axially moving it to change the viewing angle of the mirror member, and a control mechanism for effecting axial and rotational movement of the gear member via the cable means with only rotational movement at the control.

Abstract: A West coast style mirror for vehicles and which includes a housing having a mirror supporting member mounted therein and which is pivotal about a relatively fixed axis, a mirror member mounted on the supporting member for movement about a second relatively fixed axis, a pinion gear mounted on the supporting member, a gear segment provided on the back of the mirror member and engaged with the pinion gear, and remote control cable means adapted by rotational movement to turn the pinion gear and by push-pull actuation to move the mirror supporting member, on which the pinion gear is mounted, for selective adjustment of the viewing angle of the mirror member.

Abstract: An operating mechanism for opening and closing rear seat doors in taxi cabs and other passenger car vehicles and comprising; an operative link that can be connected to the forwardly disposed edge of a back seat door in front of its hinge axis, an opening that is provided through the vehicle pillar post on which the back seat door is hung for receiving said link therethrough, and with a lever or some other operating means to push and pull the operating link so that it will respectively open and close the vehicle door that it is connected to.

Abstract: A car washing means and method which includes; a paint-pad type holder and handle member having means for receiving and holding and pad member engaged there to, a pad member made and sized for use with the holder and handle member, and said pad member having a soft pliable sponge-like body portion, saturable with wash water upon being immersed in a pail thereof, with a more durable covering on the face and back edge thereof and including cut fibrous ends for longer lasting wash-wear life use thereof. And a wiper blade member provided on the holder for subsequent convenience and use.

Abstract: A readily collapsible and easily erected shelter construction including: a roof, side wall and floor providing part having the dimensional size and area of the roof panels equal to that of the side wall and floor panels for allowing flat folding of the roof panels over the side wall and floor panels, and end wall parts formed to fit and close the otherwise open ends of the first mentioned part and to hold the structure erected for use. The end walls being further preferably hinged to a floor or roof providing part and for being folded in together towards each other, and tied, to hold the structure flat folded for easier storage, handling, packaging and shipment.

Abstract: A means and method for reducing and/or eliminating the drag and power loss imposed on a vehicle engine by air conditioning that is driven thereby, during selected load and power demand situations, both to conserve and have added power available and to provide improved fuel economy, and which includes; a vacuum responsive switching device provided in the electrical line operative of the air compressor clutch, means for readily adjusting the responsiveness of said switch to different and varying load conditions, and use of a fast idle connection that is inoperative when the air conditioner compressor is cut-out and also inoperative.

Abstract: The improvement in motor home construction using a conventional height van vehicle, to provide greater dropped floor area and convenience, and which includes removing a section of the van floor over and on one side of the vehicle drive shaft to provide a floor opening exposing the drive shaft, prefabricating a pan member to fit said floor opening and cover said drive shaft, and having said pan member formed to provide a step covering over the drive shaft, a recessed area for greater toe clearance and turning ease, and structural reinforcement of interrupted frame members without a material change in the shaft and road clearances otherwise obtained.

Abstract: A fastener means for fabrics and clothing and which includes a magnetic tape material which is sewn into or otherwise applied to next adjacent edges of cloth material intended to be overlapped. Such magnetic material being relatively thin and light weight, pliable and flexible, capable of being cut to desired lengths and having the general characteristics of a narrow strip of fabric or cloth material itself.
