Abstract: A cash register tray includes a base tray having a plurality of change compartments and a plurality of weight sensors, each weight sensor being configured to determine content weight of a respective change compartment. The cash register tray includes a processor in data communication with each weight sensor. Data input and output devices are in data communication with the processor. The processor includes programming for associating each compartment with a respective monetary denomination and monetary value, an initial monetary value and content weight using weight sensor data. The processor includes programming for adding value to respective compartment values if change is added to a compartment as sensed by the input device or weight sensors and for subtracting value from a respective compartment value as indicated by respective weight sensors. The processor divides an increase or decrease by a predetermined value after each transaction to account for coin weight variations.
Abstract: A calendar apparatus includes a housing having opposed side rails for holding a calendar therebetween. The calendar apparatus includes a processor and a memory device in data communication with the processor. The apparatus includes a user input device, a microphone, and an audio output positioned in the housing and in data communication with the processor. The processor includes programming for inputting event data using the input device, inputting message data using the microphone, actuating the audio output device to provide alarm or to display message data after occurrence of an event. The calendar apparatus may include a picture holder, a clock, and a calculator.
Abstract: A pet restraint system includes a collar having first and second ends and having a first lock configured to restrict separation of the first and second ends. The system includes an elongate leash having a clip at a first end for removable attachment to the collar and having a second lock to restrict removal of the clip from the collar. The system includes a handle coupled to a second end of the leash and having a protrusion movable between release and hold positions. The handle includes a third lock for restricting movement of the protrusion from the hold position. The handle further includes a retracting mechanism coupled to the leash to selectively retract the leash to a plurality of retraction positions.
Abstract: A user propelled golf cart includes a frame having front and rear ends. A seat, pedal, and front wheel are operatively coupled to the frame. A plurality of rear wheels are rotatably coupled to the frame rear end to rotate about a common imaginary axis. The pedals operatively rotate at least one wheel about an imaginary axis. A tub is configured to receive a golf bag. A storage rack includes a first section configured to be removably coupled to the frame rear end, a second section configured to be removably coupled to the frame between the front and rear ends, and a support leg. The front wheel is raised above the rear wheels when the first section is coupled to the frame rear end, the second section is coupled to the frame, and the support leg contacts a ground surface or a receiving member.
Abstract: Protective clothing includes trousers having a leg portion with a distal end, a proximal end, and a knee area that corresponds to a wearer's knee when the trousers are worn by the wearer. Padding is coupled to the trousers and extends adjacent the knee area. A first and second array of fasteners is coupled to the leg portion, the first and second array having an upper end relatively adjacent to the leg portion proximal end and a lower end relatively distant to the leg portion proximal end. The clothing includes an adjustable protective member having a first side and a second side. A first strap extends from the first side of the adjustable protective member and is removably coupled to the first array of fasteners. A second strap extends from the second side of the adjustable protective member and is removably coupled to the second array of fasteners.
Abstract: An artificial banana apparatus includes a plurality of artificial banana bodies, each artificial banana body being elongate and curved, each artificial banana body having a stem end and an opposed tip, and each stem end having a channel. The banana apparatus including a plurality of elongate stems, each stem having a first end telescopically received in a respective channel to allow a length of the stem outside said artificial banana body to be adjusted, each stem having a second end with a magnetic element. The apparatus includes a stem hub having at least one magnetic element complementary to the stem magnetic elements to removably couple the stems to the stem hub, the stem hub having at least two rows of sockets complementary to the stem second ends to receive the stem second ends in at least two rows.
Abstract: A cap device for use with a container or bottle includes adjacent first and second portions, each portion including a structure different than the other for accessing the contents of a container. The first portion may include an opening, such as a straw opening or pour opening, and a cover pivotally movable between open and closed configurations. The second portion may define a trough and include a drinking implement, such as a sipper, that is pivotal between retracted and extended configurations. The drinking implement includes first and second sections, the first section being rotatable between retractable and locked configurations. Contents of the container may be accessed when the second section is in the locked configuration. The drinking implement may be moved to the retracted configuration only when the second section is in its retractable configuration.
Abstract: A portable scent dispensing device includes a base having a warming element for heating scented matter situated thereon, the warming element being configured for electrical communication with a power source. The dispensing device includes a first switch for actuating the warming element with the power source. A hood is directly above the base and includes a fan configured for electrical communication with the power source, the hood being separated from the base to allow the scented matter to be positioned upon the warming element. A first wall extends upwardly from the base and a second wall extends downwardly from the hood. At least one fastener maintains the hood at respective heights directly above the base by maintaining the second wall at respective positions relative to the first wall, wherein the first wall and the second wall collectively surround at least about halfway around the scented matter.
Abstract: A chair lift includes a jack movable between lowered and raised configurations and a motor in communication with the jack for moving the jack between the lowered and raised configurations. A switch is in communication with the motor to selectively actuate the motor.
