    Abstract: A computerized method of adjudicating text against a policy includes receiving one or more system policies, creating a system datastructure for each received system policy, receiving an input message comprising a text to be adjudicated, selecting a system policy from the one or more received system policies based on the input message, and processing the text to be adjudicated and the system datastructure corresponding to the selected system policy to determine if a prohibited word is present in the text to be adjudicated. The one or more system policies include one or more prohibited words and a first hit value corresponding to each prohibited word. The system datastructure includes a plurality of linked lists corresponding the letters of the alphabet and a head linked list operable to store one or more found prohibited words.

    Abstract: A reconfigurable multi-cell power converter and method wherein a set of cells are connected between an input bus and a load in an input series output parallel configuration or in an input parallel output series configuration. Each cell includes a primary side reconfigurable between series and parallel operation and a secondary side also reconfigurable between series and parallel operation. Switching circuitry is configured to reconfigure the primary side of each cell between series and parallel operation and vice versa and also to reconfigure the secondary side of each cell between series and parallel operation and vice versa. A controller is configured to actuate the switching circuitry depending a voltage on the input bus and/or cell condition to reconfigure all the cell primary sides and/or secondary sides while maintaining a desired input series output parallel or input parallel output series connection for the set of cells.

    Abstract: A waveguide circulator includes a waveguide junction made from a thermally conductive material and having three ports, and a ferrite cluster housed within the waveguide junction so as to be in communication with the ports. The ferrite cluster includes a plurality of ferrite segments extending from a central point of the ferrite cluster. Each ferrite segment is spaced apart from an adjacent ferrite segments by a gap. Thermal spacers made of a thermally conductive material are disposed in the gaps. Each thermal spacer is thermally coupled to the adjacent ferrite segments and the waveguide junction so as to conduct heat away from the adjacent ferrite segments to the waveguide junction. The ferrite cluster can also be used with other junction circulators including stripline junction circulators designed for high peak power applications.

The planar section is oriented to the portion of high-band radiators such that the output of the respective low-band radiator is disposed between and within the spacing between adjacent high-band-radiators.

    Abstract: A method and system for performing a clinical trial having a reduced placebo effect is disclosed. The method includes randomizing study participants into three or more treatment groups and performing a first phase of testing on the groups. In a typical embodiment, the first phase of testing includes administering an active treatment to a first group, and administering a placebo to a second group and to a third group. Responders and non-responders are determined for each group. A second phase of testing is then performed. The second phase of testing includes administering the placebo to non-responders in the first group, administering the active treatment to non-responders in the second group, and administering the placebo to non-responders in the third group. The data from the first phase of testing and from the second phase of testing is pooled and analyzed to determine response rates to active treatment and placebo.
