Patent number: 8323757Abstract: An artificial Christmas tree with an array of imitation animal antlers incorporated into the tree to serve as additional branches. The purpose of the incorporated animal antler branches is to provide structural support to the tree so that the device can hold a multitude of Christmas ornaments. The antlers serve as strong branches and can support the weight of several heavy Christmas ornaments at once on each animal antler branch, while providing an ornamental and novel looking tree device for supporting hanging articles and Christmas decoration. Each antler has plurality of elongated prongs, allowing a user to place many ornaments on a single antler without resulting in deflection thereof. The antlers strength keeps the branches from drooping under the weight of the decorations, which leaves the Christmas tree aesthetically pleasing to the eye and particularly attractive for animal hunters and enthusiasts.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2011Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Inventor: Benjamin Charles Barto

Patent number: 8276282Abstract: Disclosed is an archery bow sighting device that incorporates a laser range finder, an automatically adjusting sight pin, trigger control and distance indicator. The device incorporates imbedded electronics and a gearing mechanism to adjust a sighting pin based on distance to target and calibrated distance data. The user aims the laser range finder at a designated target for determination of its distance, after which the sight pin is automatically adjusted to account for the distance and is used to aim at the target. To accurately aim the range finder, a peep sight along the length of the bow string is aligned with crosshairs within the range finder while aiming at the intended target. A trigger button along the bow pulses the laser range finder to determine distance, and the sighting pin elevation is updated accordingly by the imbedded electronic circuit and interpolation of preset distances.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2011Date of Patent: October 2, 2012Inventors: Benoit Mainsonneuve, Jacques Courville

Patent number: 8272137Abstract: An archery sight device for selectively illuminating fiber optic range markers calibrated to a specific distance, a selector switch and a range indicator display for accurately aiming and releasing an arrow at a designated target. The sight device comprises a housing that attaches between the upper and lower limb of an archery bow, and provides a sight window with a plurality of fiber optic pins with illuminating tips. A selective pin or set of pins is illuminated at a time, corresponding to a distance indicated by a digital display for the user to reference. A selector switch extending from the device and attached to the bow allows the user to cycle through pre-calibrated distances for a specific bow, while a range finder device may be incorporated to accurately measure the distance to a target and adjust the display and chosen illuminated pin as required.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2011Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Inventor: Michael Craig Logsdon

Patent number: 8266932Abstract: A theft deterrent hasp assembly for shrouding the shackle of a pad lock device. The disclosed hasp comprises a hingeable arm having a protective shroud at its distal end and a pad lock hoop engagement hole. The engagement hole is positioned at an angle with regard to the length of the hingeable hasp and along a diagonal within the shroud enclosure to allow improved access for pad lock shackle insertion therein. This access allows the shackle to be more easily inserted into a pad lock hoop protruding through the engagement hole of the hasp after placement thereover, while the protective shroud provides plurality of upstanding members that form a three sided structure for protection against tampering. The shroud members are adapted to cover a majority of the padlock shackle while in use, preventing cutting tools or saw blades from achieving access thereto while in a locked position.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2011Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Inventor: Danny Longwell

Patent number: 8261395Abstract: Disclosed is a handheld, motorized cleaning device, comprising a removable rotary cleaning element, a fluid soap reservoir, an electric motor with drive means and a handle having an interior storage for battery power. The handle separates into segments to align a series of batteries, while its working end comprises a refillable reservoir of cleaning solution that is adapted to operate with a plurality of independent cleaning elements, without discharging and refilling between elements. An aperture along the base of the reservoir communicates cleaning solution through the cleaning element to develop lather while the cleaning element is rotated by the electric motor and drive means. The aperture opening is controlled by a rotational slide gate means at the base of the reservoir. In use, the cleaning element is placed in contact with a surface to physically remove built-up dirt and debris, while the soap further breaks down tougher grime and grease.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2011Date of Patent: September 11, 2012Inventor: Wilfrid Lazarre

Patent number: 8239987Abstract: An improved neck cushion device with associated eye mask and headrest cushion for improved comfort while sleeping in an upright position. The device comprises a standard neck pillow having a general C-shape and internal cushioning, attached to an upstanding headrest and deployable eye mask. The headrest secures to the neck pillow via a closed loop, wherein the neck pillow is inserted therethrough. The neck pillow is secured around the neck of a user, while the headrest is positioned between the back of a user's head and a seat to provide upright support. The eye mask is deployable from a pouch along the back of the headrest, and is attached via a band of fabric to prevent its misplacement. The user is provided comfort by properly supporting their head along the neck and behind the head, while the eye mask provides a blind for darkened sleeping.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2011Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Inventor: Eric Sharp

Patent number: 8234734Abstract: A baby crib rail device is provided for assisting an infant with relieving pain associated with teething. The device comprises a plurality of crib rail covers removably secure to the guardrail of a child's crib or playpen. Rail covers consist of channels having an inverted āUā shaped cross-section. The covers are secured to an infant crib guardrail by placing the rail through the open bottom of a crib rail cover and pushing downward to secure its location. Sections of rail cover are removably securable to each other in an end-to-end structure that results in an elongated crib rail cover. The covers may be constructed of a soft, durable, sanitizable material such as rubber or plastic. The surfaces of the different rail covers may have a variety of surface contours to provide different types of gum stimulation for teething infants. Rail covers may be arranged in any desired configuration according to the needs or interests of a child.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2011Date of Patent: August 7, 2012Inventor: Glenda Perry

Patent number: 8231156Abstract: A pressure application and removal device is provided for the purpose of assisting insertion of contact lenses. The device comprises a frame portion, two contact lens holders, a pressurizing assembly, and a liquid delivery assembly. The frame portion has the structure of standard eyeglasses frames and rests on a user's ears and nose. The contact lens holders are formed of wash cups that retain contact lenses along the inside of their concave surface. Fluid conduits extend from an apex of the wash cups to a flexible ball in the center of the device. When said ball is depressed, a positive pressure or vacuum is generated to facilitate insertion and removal of contact lenses to or from a user's eye. A second flexible ball may be filled with liquid. When the ball is compressed liquid flows through a second set of conduits into the eye of a user.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2011Date of Patent: July 31, 2012Inventor: Kenneth Armwood

Patent number: 8177655Abstract: A T-shaped golf instructional tool adapted to fit over the grip end of a conventional or belly-type putter for the purpose of teaching a proper putting stroke and improving consistency. An attach bar is fixed to a putter grip using hook and loop fastened straps. The attach bar extends above the putter between the user's forearms, where two horizontal rods are fixed to the attach bar at a common junction. The horizontal rods provide feedback to the user and ensure his or her forearms, wrists and arms stay positioned together through the putting stroke. The horizontal rods align perpendicular to the putter face, allowing alignment of the shoulders and feet relative to the intended target. The attach bar can be adjusted out of plane relative to the putter swing path to accommodate different user geometry and proper posture over the ball.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2010Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Inventor: Kenneth Hanley
