    Abstract: An implant capable of forming a differential image in an eye is shown. The implant comprises an elongated member having a pair of spaced ends wherein one of the pair of ends includes a distal section that extends in a direction substantially parallel to the central axis. The elongated member and the distal section are formed of a dimension to be inserted into and/or passed through a punctum opening of an eye and into the canaliculus. The implant incorporates into at least one of the elongated member and the distal section an energy obstructing material responsive to the application of an energy wave, such as an energy wave in the form of sound waves vibrating at frequencies greater than 20,000 cycles per second or electromagnetic radiation, which upon everting of an eyelid of an eye and exposing the implant to an appropriate energy wave, forms a differential image pattern showing the location of the implant in the eye.

    Abstract: A hybrid drive for a motor vehicle having a thermal engine for operating with a hydrocarbon containing fuel suitable for generating hydrogen is shown. The hybrid drive includes a fuel storage tank, an energy storage device to store energy generated by the thermal engine and a drive motor whose operating state depends on the energy from the thermal engine and/or the energy storage device. The hybrid drive includes an AC/DC converter for producing and storing energy in the energy storage device prior to starting of a hybrid drive. A hydrogen storage device is operatively connected to a hydrogen-generating unit. The hydrocarbon containing fuel is used and stored for generating hydrogen at least one of prior to starting and operation of the hybrid drive for a motor vehicle. The thermal engine can be operated alternatively on hydrogen generated by the hydrogen-generating unit or hydrogen stored in the hydrogen storage device.

    Abstract: An imprinting device for a cosmetic product is shown. The imprinting device comprises a transparent substrate and an application element which is fixedly or removeably affixed to and protrudes outwardly from one surface of the transparent substrate. The application element has an exterior surface defining an imprinting member configured to have a cosmetic product coated thereon to be imaged with a surface. A sufficient distance between the one surface and the imprinting member to inhibit a cosmetic product from contacting the one surface when a cosmetic product is coated onto the imprinting member. The application element may be removeably attached to the transparent substrate such that a portion of the application element can be repositioned on the transparent substrate to vary the characteristics of the imprinting member image.

The sensor is physically contacted by and is actuated by the body part. A signal control circuit is responsive to actuation of the sensor for generating a feedback signal which is communicated to such person to verify that such person's body part has traversed the selected distance. A method for training a body part of a person including a head, leg or arm is also shown.

The processor includes a comparator for comparing the first signal to a stored reference signal representing a predetermined vacuum range of pulsating vacuum levels programmed as acceptable for milking systems pulsators. The processor generates at least one control signal when the designated pulsator pulsating vacuum level is at a vacuum level outside of the predetermined vacuum range. A control circuit signals that the designated pulsator pulsating vacuum level is outside the range of pulsating vacuum levels programmed as acceptable for the milking system pulsators.

The method comprises the steps of: cleaning the underlay surface; spraying on the receiving surface an activating treatment agent solution wherein the activating treatment agent solution contains a hydrochloric acid solution including about 10 cc to about 44 cc of hydrochloric acid, about 1.5 g to about 5 g of stannous chloride and about 0.001 g to about 0.005 g of a precious metal salt of at least one of a silver nitrate, palladium chloride, gold chloride and platinum chloride per 1 liter of water for use as an activating treatment agent for forming a metallic mirror surface on a receiving surface which is treated with the hydrochloric acid solution as an activating treatment agent solution; and separately spraying concurrently on the underlay surface a reacting metal salt and a reducing agent to form the metallic mirror surface.

    Abstract: A milk flow device which includes a conduit for transporting a substantially continuous milk flow varying in height up to a maximum height wherein the maximum height is less than a fluid height which would occlude the conduit and interrupt the vacuum level is shown. A first sensor determines the height of a selected section of the substantially continuous milk flow. The first sensor has a predetermined cross-sectional area and defines an opening for passing a milk flow therethrough. The first sensor is located at a predetermined location in the conduit. A second sensor having a cross-sectional area substantially equal to the cross sectional area of the first sensor is spaced within the conduit in a selected direction and a known distance from the first sensor. The second sensor determines that the selected section of the continuous milk flow has traversed the known distance. A conductivity sensor measures the conductivity of the milk.

A processor has a memory for storing pulsator malfunction criteria reference table and reference signals representing a predetermined vacuum range of pulsating vacuum levels programmed as acceptable for milking system pulsators. The processor generates a one control signal when the designated pulsator pulsating vacuum level is at a vacuum level outside of the predetermined vacuum range and an information signal from the pulsator malfunction criteria reference table identifying the pulsator malfunction represented by the control signal. A control circuit is responsive to the at least one control signal for producing a signal representing a programmed condition.

    Abstract: A hat assembly including a hat that is selectively disposed in either a collapsed position or an expanded position is shown. The hat comprises a head engaging portion including a side wall, a crown and a brim. The brim has a substantially annular configuration at least partially defined by a central opening and an outer periphery having a continuous, substantially circular configuration. The side wall have an inner end being of substantially equal dimension as a circumference of the central opening and the inner end is secured continuously to the circumference along mutual lengths thereof. Breathing holes may be formed in the side walls to prevent sweating or perspiration on the head of a wearer. The hat has an expanded position and a collapsed position wherein the crown is structured to be folded into and out of the interior of the hat. A method of selectively disposing a hat in a hat assembly in either a collapsed position or an expanded position is also shown.

The charging of a battery and the storage of the combustible fuel occur at prior to the starting of or the operation of the hybrid electric vehicle. A driving system includes a direct current motor and a combustible fuel engine. A control device enables the driving system to be powered by the direct current voltage or the combustible fuel. Preferably the combustible fuel is hydrogen. A hydrogen fuel cell is responsive to hydrogen to produce a direct current voltage for charging a battery or driving the direct current motor.
