Abstract: A system and method for treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) by means of a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) system in which is included an ultra-violet light source to remove bacteria and contaminants which may cause respiratory infection in a patient being treated. The ultraviolet light source is contained in a specially designed chamber comprising aluminum or equivalent suitable materials. The ultraviolet chamber is positioned directly downstream of a humidification unit and includes specially positioned baffles to protect connecting elements and other system components from any possible damage.

Abstract: A method of cleaning a surface such as a driveway or a vertical wall which includes converting or retro-fitting a zero-turn radius (ZTR) or other type of mower to a cleaning apparatus. The conversion of the mower includes the steps of adding a water supply tank to the deck area of the mower and providing low pressure and high pressure flow lines. The low pressure flow lines are supplied via a low pressure pump. The high pressure flow lines are supplied by a separate high pressure pump unit. Plural solenoid valves are utilized in the method and system to control the flow of a cleaning solution for various method operations.

Abstract: A multiple function landscaping method and system is capable of operating with or without a dump box. A lower lift, crane or hoist can be utilized by itself or in combination with an upper positioned dump box. The novel usage of a single truck bed to achieve such functions as tree delivery, debris removal and top soil delivery enables landscaping to be more efficiently and economically performed, thus providing a significant advantage to the environment.

Abstract: A ladder lift system and method of use includes a specially designed clamp element which is connected between an extension ladder and a pivotable lift rail. The system includes a lower ladder support. The system is especially adapted for use in combination with the bed of a transport or pick-up truck. The system and method of use allows a single workman to safely and easily utilize an extension ladder for a wide variety of work and service tasks. The invention kit may include a pair of clamp elements with a lower ladder support.

Abstract: A method and system related to pet medical care and pet location which includes an implantable multiple function chip. The chip includes data storage portions for identification, medical notices and GPS location parameters. The method and system further includes first and second wireless receiver and transmitter devices to be utilized by a veterinarian and a pet owner respectively. The business method and system are designed to be marketed through the offices of veterinary medical doctors and animal health clinics.

Abstract: A puzzle solving aid in combination with a sudoku-type numerical puzzle. The puzzle solving aid (PSA) comprises a square or rectangular sheet having opaque or clouded portions at the four outer corners thereof and clear portions forming a vertical see-through column and a horizontal see-through row. The puzzle solving aid includes a central open area so a puzzle solver can pencil in the possible solution numbers for a particular space on a puzzle grid. A method of use related to puzzle solving and a business method for marketing a combined puzzle and puzzle solving aid are described.

Abstract: A building construction system and method which includes an attachment or fastener device and a tool element for applying the device to a lower reinforcing rod. The reinforcing rod is part of a building section which includes a wood or lumber section and a lower concrete layer. The attachment device is utilized to securely retain a lumber section to a lower concrete area. The overall design is such that construction and labor time is significantly reduced.

Abstract: An exercise system and method of use to achieve numerous workout possibilities without requiring attachment of the device to a fixed object such as a door or wall. The system includes a specially designed shoe clip for attachment to the front end of an exercise or tennis shoe. A strapping element, for use in conjunction with the shoe clip, is also specially designed for the overall system. The system and method are applicable for a wide variety of workout routines. The system includes attachment devices so that stretchable resistance bands or stretchable tubing material can be easily changed to vary the workout difficulty as desired.

Abstract: A system and method for safely deploying a tire deflation device. Tire deflation units or stop sticks are released from a specially designed deployment unit positioned on the back of a police vehicle. A remote control feature allows a police officer to release a stop stick unit onto a roadway without exiting a police vehicle during a chase. A specially designed tire deflation or stop stick subcombination is also described. The overall design significantly improves safety and performance for law enforcement agencies involved in apprehending suspect fleeing vehicles. The invention also has utility for counter-terrorism activities when it is desired to disable a terrorist's vehicle at a certain location.

Abstract: A cleaning system for a livestock feeding device which unclogs blockage without the need for a workman to enter the feed dispensing area. The system includes at least two swiping arms which are positioned at a lower area of the feed system. The system is environmentally advantageous since workman entry into a hazardous area is reduced. The swiping arms are activated by an external motor which is turned on upon sensing of a clogged or blocked condition of the feed. The system applies to the feeding of hogs, livestock or other dispensing mechanisms.

Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous production of expanded plastic panels with inserts on their longitudinal edges, comprising a head for pouring a reactive mixture between a first and a second containment layers in order to obtain a foamed layer, a containment and advancement assembly for the layers being constituted by a lower slat conveyor and by an upper slat conveyor. The lower slat conveyor has lateral containment blocks at the ends of its slats. At least some of the blocks are provided thereon with the inserts to be incorporated in the foamed layer, for picking and placing the inserts on the engaging elements provided in the apparatus.

Abstract: An apparatus for feeding stapling elements grouped in sets to a stapling machine which is suitable to insert the elements astride the joint of strips arranged at an angle in order to provide perimetric frames, supporting frames and the like, comprising a magazine which is composed of at least one inclined channel suitable to accommodate a plurality of aligned sets and having a downward outlet for the sets, means for individually releasing the sets from the at least one channel through the outlet, a holder which comprises at least one seat arranged below the outlet of the at least one channel, actuators for actuating the holder between a position for receiving a set from the at least one channel in the at least one seat and a position for positioning the set with respect to the stapling machine so as to align the punch of the machine with the stapling elements to be inserted.
