Abstract: A lifting insert for prefabricated concrete components with a bracket for increasing the shearing strength thereof. The insert is embeddable in the body of the component proximate to one of the faces of the component so that one of its ends protrudes, or is otherwise accessible, from the face of the component so that it is engageable by lifting means. The bracket of the insert comprises at least one brace, which is connected to the insert and is also embeddable in the body of the component. The brace is constituted by a lamina that wraps around the insert in a scarf-like fashion with one of its portions.

Abstract: A method for reducing computational errors in a useful band of a signal generated with a Fourier transform, particularly for fixed-point microprocessors, which comprises a step of shifting errors present in a signal due to Fourier transforms applied thereto, so that the errors straddle a frequency in which the information content of the signal is irrelevant.

Abstract: A method for selectively absorbing nitrogen oxides NOx from gaseaous mixtures containing carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide and water and optionally contaminants chosen among CO, SO2, hydrocarbons and mixtures thereof, comprising placing the gaseous mixtures in contact with absorber compounds having formula Ba2Cu3O5+d, where d is a number from 0.6 to 1. New compounds having the above formula are characterized by high resistance to carbonatation and by specific Raman spectra.

Abstract: The thread feeding device has a supporting element for a spool of thread to be fed, and a variable-speed motor having a body connected to the supporting element and an output shaft connected to an arm that is rotatable about the axis of the spool with respect to the spool itself. The arm is provided, proximate to its end that is spaced from the spool axis, with a thread passage so as to perform, as a consequence of its own rotation, the gradual unwinding of the thread from the spool. The device also has an actuation and control element that drives the motor with a speed that can vary according to the tension required for the thread during feeding.

Abstract: Supplemental bottom for a single-control mixer cartridge for hot and cold water in a type of faucet particularly suitable for wash-bowls or bidets, including a disk provided with holes at the openings formed in the bottom of the cartridge and with a peripheral gasket, connection teeth to associate with coupling holes provided in the bottom of the cartridge, and ducts for connecting the holes provided in the disk so as to match the openings for the separate inflow of hot and cold water, which are present in the bottom of the cartridge, to the water inflow holes which are present at the base of the cavity for accommodating the cartridge in the faucet.
