Abstract: A cylindrical peg adapted for side mounting on each axle of a bicycle to extend laterally outward therefrom for riding a rail when participating in the stunt of grinding. The peg includes a rotatable cover to effect a rolling mode on the rail and optionally may include a detent to convert the cover from a rolling mode to a fixed mode by securing the cover against rotation.
Abstract: Method, apparatus and product providing a cantilevered coping about prefabricated stairs of an in-ground liner type swimming pool. Disclosed is a polystyrene form board of desired profile face to effect a complementary fit onto a top of the stairs, fastener means including a saddle bracket for securing the form board onto the stairs and a release structure to enable removing the form board after the poured aggregate coping has cured.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for forming a raised gripping surface along the peripheral edge of poured aggregate swimming pool coping. Utilized therein is a form board including a recess to form a first portion of the gripping surface and an aggregate dispensing mule to form a second portion of the gripping surface in a contiguous relation to the first portion. A finishing tool joins both portions into a combined unitized structure.

Abstract: A pressure gauge in which the displacement tip of the Bourdon tube is sealed and secured to a bracket of an amplifier movement by a selected solder composition affording a failure response to an encountered overpressure at a pressure value lower than the burst pressure of the Bourdon tube. Overpressure causes a fracture in the solder to be incurred enabling release of the overpressure while a throttle plug situated in the inlet path to the Bourdon tube severely restricts continuing gas flow to the fracture site. As a consequence, released flow from the solder fracture will be at a pressure insufficient to potentially cause explosion of the gauge case/lens to occur.
Abstract: Method and product for the forming of contraction joints in the end face of poured concrete structures that includes a blade-like insert of selective profile configuration corresponding to the profile surface of a form board to be utilized for shaping the end face when poured. The insert is attachable to the profile surface of the form board and includes a blade member extending laterally away from the profile surface to produce a contraction joint in the end face when cured.
Abstract: There is disclosed a pressure gauge construction in which the dial plate includes recessed indentations interfit with pins projecting beyond the front face of the gauge movement for supporting a dial plate in place. An adhesive cement is contained between the back face of the dial plate and the front face of the movement effects an adhesive bonding therebetween.

Abstract: An end fitting/pipe coupling in which to receive a flexible pipe end to be joined includes an annular seal of chevron configuration supported in the fitting for surrounding the received pipe end and is comprised of an elastomer composition defining a plurality of uniformly spaced parallel separations each containing an annular metallic shim adapted to increasingly grip the pipe in response to a pull out force encountered by the pipe end.
Abstract: A plastic pipe coupling for the joining of plain end plastic pipe that includes a pair of longitudinally displaced annular followers, a tubular middle ring extending between the opposite followers, an annular gasket within each follower contiguous to the middle ring, gripper segments within the follower that are operative during tightening installation of the follower about a received pipe end to effect a penetrating restraining grip against the surface of the pipe end and means on each of said followers cooperating with the end configuration of the middle ring to effect a snap-in-interlock and a perceptive signal when installation is completed.

Abstract: Dampening apparatus for a pressure gauge in which a short length of sleeve, ferrule, hub or thimble encircles the pointer shaft in a close but loose fit relation and is packed with a high viscosity fluid such that it will serve to decelerate and cushion any sudden shock or pulsation force that would otherwise be transmitted to the pointer shaft.
Abstract: A pipe coupling for the joining of plain end plastic or metallic pipe that includes an annular follower, a tubular middle ring extending between opposite followers, an annular gasket within the follower contiguous to the middle ring and a restrainer unit within the follower comprising a lock ring having a plurality of arcuately spaced radial slots for slideably supporting individual gripper segments that are operative during tightening installation of the follower about a received pipe end to effect a penetrating restraining grip against the surface of the pipe end.
Abstract: A sensor element suitable for sensing pressure values of fluid pressure at high pressure ranges on the order of 40,000 psi and above and comprised of a predetermined length of a closed end tube which at zero applied pressure is of rectilinear configuration. The tube contains a round bore eccentrically disposed parallel within the tube having one end open at which to receive fluid pressure. By virtue of the eccentric relationship of the bore to the tube, an internal bending moment occurs under pressure loading that is proportional to the applied pressure and which bending moment causes the free closed end of the tube to deflect in a direction opposite to the direction to the which the bore was predisposed with respect to the OD center line of the tube.
Abstract: A method of forming a lock nut and the product thereof in which a coaxial extension is secured to the end face of a standard nut to receive a locking element therein. The extension is comprised of a concentric metal ring secured at one edge to the end face of a standard nut and at the other edge secures a locking element against the end face of the nut.
Abstract: A portable wheel mask suitable for position placement in close proximity to the face of a wheel on which a mounted tire is to be cleaned. The mask comprises a flexible but durable body of fabric composition that is collapsible from an open taut relation to a collapsed relation for storage. A handle secured to the backside of the body enables supporting the mask in place while a pocket on the inside surface of the body enables the valve stem of the tire to be received during such time as the mask is being utilized for protecting the wheel face against available forms of tire cleaning products.
