  • Patent number: 6345333
Abstract: The present invention prevents a damage concentration caused by a data erase/write-in to a particular cell, so as to increase a service life of a flash memory. A CPU 17 determines whether a data which has been read out is a new one or a data having a reverse flag set (steps S1 and S2. If the reverse flag is not set, a reverse flag is set (step S3), so as to reverse the bit of the data when writing the data into a flash memory (steps S4 and S6). If a reverse flag is set, the reverse flag is reset (step S5) and the data is written into the flash memory (step S6).

  • Patent number: 6285402
Abstract: An input image signal is converted into a digital form in an A/D converter 6 by clock pulses 53 from VCO 4 of a PLL circuit 1. The frequency of the clock pulses 53 is fixed. After the number of scanning lines is converted in a primary processing circuit 7, the digital image signal is written in field memory 10. The image signal is read out from the field memory 10 by second clock pulses 63 generated in a PLL circuit 11. A frequency divider 15 in the PLL circuit 11 is changed in frequency division ratio by a control signal. As a result, the sampling number in one horizontal period of the image signal read out from the field memory 10 is changed. Since the number of pixels in the effective image period of the image signal written in the memory is constant, by changing the sampling number in one horizontal period on the read-out side, the ratio of the effective image period relative to one horizontal period can be changed to adjust the horizontal size.

  • Patent number: 6282155
Abstract: By reducing the number of seek operations in an operation to play back a signal from a recording medium, the amount of data temporarily stored in a read buffer memory employed in a signal recording/playback apparatus is large enough to be output as a playback signal during a seek operation, allowing a continuous playback operation to be carried out. In order to reduce the number of seek operations, a signal is always recorded onto the recording medium in continuous free areas each having a size equal to or larger than a predetermined recording/playback time length which is typically set at 1 minute. If it is necessary to insert an additional signal having a length smaller than the predetermined recording/playback time length into a point of insertion in an area already occupied by an existing signal, a continuous free area with a size equal to or larger than the predetermined recording/playback time length is newly allocated to the additional signal.

  • Patent number: 6256062
Abstract: The invention provides a technique of making color correction by means of a simple operation so that the color difference among imaging apparatus is minimized for a particular color specified by a user. In the color correction operation, an MPU provided in a camera displays a marker on a viewfinder. A user controls a user interface so as to put the marker on a desired color of a color chart thereby selecting a color to be weighted. The MPU inputs data obtained by measuring the color chart via the camera and also inputs color reference data obtained by measuring the same color chart under the same conditions via another camera serving as a reference camera. The MPU determines the coefficients of a linear matrix circuit for making color correction by means of a calculation with a weight specified by the user. The resultant coefficients are set in the linear matrix circuit.
