Abstract: This present invention relates to a process for winding tape to prevent or reduce telescoping of the tape (e.g., dental tape) as it is wound onto a bobbin spool. Dispensers comprising such bobbins are also discussed herein.
Abstract: The subject invention provides a detergent composition comprising an effective amount of a soluble potassium salt, a sodium (C8-C24) alkylsulfate in an amount effective to remove or loosen debris and/or stains from a surface, and a polar surfactant, said surfactant comprising a hydrophobic portion selected from a (C6-C30) alkyl group and a polymeric silicone group, wherein the molar ratio of the surfactant to the sodium (C8-C24) alkylsulfate is greater than or equal to about 1:1. Detergent compositions of the invention include oral compositions for removing and loosening plaque and/or stains from a dental surface and oral compositions for reducing dental nerve and/or dentin sensitivity.
Abstract: A antimicrobial compound, compositions containing the same, and method of using the same for reducing the presence of microorganism on a substrate or in a fluid environment comprising an antimicrobial effective carrier and at least one antimicrobial compounds including non-halogenated phenyl substituted phenol compounds.

Abstract: Physiologically acceptable films, including edible films, are disclosed. The films include a water soluble film-forming polymer such as pullulan. Edible films are disclosed that include pullulan and antimicrobially effective amounts of the essential oils thymol, methyl salicylate, eucalyptol and menthol. The edible films are effective at killing the plaque-producing germs that cause dental plaque, gingivitis and bad breath. The film can also contain pharmaceutically active agents. Methods for producing the films are also disclosed.
