Abstract: The invention relates to a needle covering device of an injection device, the injection device including a casing comprising a reservoir, in particular an ampoule, for a product fluid to be administered, and an injection needle for injecting the product fluid from the reservoir, wherein the device surrounds the injection needle in an extended position and exposes the injection needle in a retracted position. The device comprises a passage for the injection needle, a front section via which the device is placed on an injection point, and another section which is nearer to the casing than the front section is, at least in the extended position. The sections can be moved axially relative to the casing and relative to each other, such that the device is variable in its length, the front section being guided in a straight line on the casing.

Abstract: An angioplasty device and particle trap for use in removal of a particle from a small diameter vessel or vessel-like structure is disclosed. One embodiment includes a catheter for insertion into a vessel-like structure, the catheter having a catheter wall and a movable member, a trap operably connected to the catheter wall and to the movable member, wherein relative motion between the catheter wall and the movable member actuates the trap. In one embodiment, the expanded trap is formed from struts in a spiral-shaped configuration. In one embodiment, the contracted trap forms a waist to creates a pinch-point to trap particles. In one embodiment, the contracted trap forms a cocoon-like structure to further trap particles. In one embodiment, the angioplasty device includes a handle to actuate the trap from a contracted position to an expanded position and return to a contracted position. The handle provides rotational or longitudinal or both types of movement to actuate the trap.

Abstract: An administering apparatus with a dosage display, including a casing, a reservoir for a fluid product, a driven device which acts on the product, a dosing means for selecting a product dosage to be delivered which includes a dosage scale including a number of dosage marks axially spaced from each other, and a drive device coupled to the driven device for driving the driven device, the drive device performing a delivery stroke from an initial position, in a drive direction, to a delivery stopper, the length of the delivery stroke counter to the drive direction being limited by selecting the product dosage using the dosing means, wherein the casing is transparent at least in an area overlapping the dosage scale, and wherein the drive device forms an indicator to the dosage scale in order to indicate the initial position of the drive device.

Abstract: An administering apparatus for delivering a dosage of product including a casing with a reservoir for the product, a conveying device, a dosage setting member mechanically coupled to the conveying device and a stopper for the dosage setting member. The conveying device is formed by a driven device and a drive device. The driven device, a piston rod in one embodiment, is mounted by the casing such that it performs a delivery movement in the form of a delivery stroke in an advancing direction along a translational axis to deliver a product dosage selected using the dosage setting member.
