  • Patent number: 7267571
Abstract: A connector includes a base member and a cap designed to be fitted onto each other. The base member or the cap may have a double-wall configuration to improve stability, strength, and durability of the connector unit as a whole. The base member includes a plurality of ribs forming wire-receiving channels and having at least one groove therebetween. The cap includes a conductive connecting plate configured to fit in the groove of the ribs of the base member. The connecting plate itself includes grooves configured to align with the channels of the ribs of the base member to thereby cut and remove insulation of at least one cable housed in the channels.

  • Patent number: 7253362
Abstract: A closure housing includes a plurality of housings. At least one of the housings is a concave housing with an open face. At least one layer, such as for example an elastomeric film, surrounds one or more cables to define one or more wrapped cables. A portion of each of the wrapped cables is adapted to be interposed between the housings.

  • Patent number: 7251881
Abstract: A method for delivering a geometric type stress relief element to a terminated electrical cable is provided. The cable contains a conductor surrounded by at least one coaxial layer of insulator, semiconductor, grounded wires and cable jacket. First, the terminated cable is tapered to expose a portion of the conductor so as to protrude beyond the insulation, which protrudes beyond semiconductor, which protrudes beyond the conductive wires. A geometric stress cone is preloaded onto a cold shrink tube. The terminated, tapered cable is inserted into the cold shrink tube. The cold shrink tube is removed and the geometric stress cone collapses onto the tapered cable. The cable is rated for supplying high voltage.
