    Abstract: A hydraulic apparatus includes a housing portion having two main conduits and a central conduit. Valves are supported in the housing portion. At least one valve is interposed between each main conduit and the central conduit. Each of the valves has a closed position for preventing a free flow of fluid between the central conduit and its associated main conduit and have an open position for enabling the free flow of fluid between the central conduit and its associated main conduit. The hydraulic apparatus also includes a bypass valve assembly having a plunger portion that extends into the central conduit. The plunger portion is movable in an axial direction for moving the valves from the closed position to the open position.
