  • Patent number: 6021733
Abstract: A retractable ladder assembly for a watercraft has a rotatably mounted ladder which is attached to the craft by brackets. The ladder is pivotably mounted to the brackets. There is a plate biased to engage and rotatably retract the ladder from a use position to a storage position is also attached to the bracket. The bias is provided by a torsion spring. In one embodiment, the bracket mounts to the top of a rear platform of a boat and in another embodiment the ladder mounts to the underside of the rear platform of the boat. In both embodiments, the ladder may have a telescoping second ladder which retracts, due to gravity, when the torsion spring rotates the ladder assembly to a sufficient amount above the horizontal. There is also a stopper mechanism for each embodiment.

  • Patent number: 6019933
Abstract: In an injection stretch blow molding method, at least one injection molded preform is transferred from a preform molding section to a blow molding section by way of a transfer section and the at least one preform is blow molded into at least one container in the blow molding section. In the preform molding section the at least one preform is injection molded in an upright state with an open neck section thereof facing upward. In the transfer section, the at least one upright preform is turned upside-down and transferred to the blow molding section in an inverted state. Then, the blow molding section blow molds at least one container from the at least one inverted preform.

  • Patent number: 6005223
Abstract: A preform heating device has a plurality of infrared heaters disposed horizontally and spaced apart in the axial direction of a preform carried along a carrying path which carries a preform in a state that the axial direction thereof is vertical. The preform is at least rotated when facing the infrared heaters. First and second insulating plates, and an insulating air layer formed therebetween are disposed facing the carrying path with the infrared heaters between. The infrared heaters are supported by a plurality of support members. Each of this plurality of support members is able to be moved upward and downward by a height adjustment means, and is fixed to the second insulating plate at a given vertical position.

  • Patent number: 5972255
Abstract: An injection stretch blow molding apparatus has a preform molding section for molding preforms and a blow molding section for blow molding containers from the preforms retaining heat from when the preforms were injection molded. At a location in a path along which the preforms are carried from the preform molding section to the blow molding section there is a discharge guide section for guiding preforms which are not to be carried to the blow molding section off the carrying path.

  • Patent number: 5753279
Abstract: An injection stretch blow molding apparatus and method wherein while the preforms are amply cooled the injection molding cycle time is shortened and furthermore a small number of blow cavities are used. In an injection molding section, N (N.gtoreq.2) preforms are injection molded in an upright state and then released from the injection cavity mold. While the preforms are cooled by the injection core mold, they are carried to a preform ejecting section. After the preforms cool to a temperature at which they can be ejected, the preforms are ejected from the injection core mold. In a transfer station, an array pitch of the simultaneously molded preforms are changed to a blow molding pitch, and then the preforms are transferred to a blow molding station in an inverted state. In the blow molding station, each preform is carried by a carrier member through a heating section into a blow molding section. In the blow molding section, n bottles are simultaneously blow molded from n preforms.

  • Patent number: 5744176
Abstract: An injection stretch blow molding apparatus and method wherein while the preforms are amply cooled the injection molding cycle time is shortened and furthermore a small number of blow cavities are used and the operation rate of these blow cavities is increased. In an injection molding section, N (N.gtoreq.2) preforms are injection molded and then released from the injection cavity mold at a relatively high mold-release temperature. While the preforms are cooled by the injection core mold, they are carried to a preform ejecting section. After the preforms cool to a temperature at which they can be ejected, the preforms are ejected from the injection core mold. In a transfer station, n (1.ltoreq.n<N) of the simultaneously molded N preforms at a time are transferred to a blow molding station in (N/n) transfer operations. In the blow molding station, each preform is carried by a carrier member through a heating section and a standby section into a blow molding section.
