Abstract: The present invention provide a biaxially oriented polyester film for use in a floppy disc, which has a coefficient of thermal expansion (.alpha..sub.T) in film plane of (1.0.+-.0.5).times.10.sup.-5 mm/mm/.degree.C. and a heat shrinkage of not higher than 0.09% after treatment the film for 72 hours under conditions of a temperature of 60.degree. C. and a humidity of 80% RH in any directions in film plane, and simultaneously satisfies the following equations (1) to (5):1.490.ltoreq.n.sub..alpha. .ltoreq.1.500 (1)0.155.ltoreq..DELTA.P.ltoreq.0.168 (2)1.600.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.1.603 (3)40.ltoreq.X.sub.100 .ltoreq.60 (4)1.385.ltoreq..rho..ltoreq.1.400 (5)wherein n.sub..alpha. represents a refractive index in film thickness direction, .DELTA.P represents a degree of planar orientation, n represents an average refractive index, X.sub.100 represents a crystal size (.ANG.) of (110) face, and .rho. represents a density (g/cm.sup.3).
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for manufacturing a magneto-optic disc comprising at least a transparent substrate, a magneto-optic recording film, and a protecting film made of resin for protecting the magneto-optic recording film, comprising the steps of forming the magneto-optic recording film over the entire one side surface of the transparent substrate; providing in a portion adjacent to the peripheral edge of the magneto-optic recording film an annular groove extending in depth through the magneto-optic recording film to the transparent substrate; and forming the protecting film over the surfaces of the magneto-optic recording film and the annular groove.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a moldable biaxially stretched polyester film having a tensile strength at 100% elongation (F.sub.100), measured in an atmosphere of 150.degree. C., of 0.5 to 7 kg/mm.sup.2.The biaxially stretched polyester film according to the present invention is excellent in moldability.

Abstract: It shall be achieved to design tunnel finishers with air rollers such that the replacement of the jackets of the air rollers is easily possible, even if the air rollers are arranged in the interior of a housing. In order to achieve this object the air roller is supported such that the axis (19) may be removed from one of the two bearings therefore such that the jacket (35) can be replaced via the removed free end.Such tunnel finishers can in particular be used in the clothing industry.
Abstract: A tunnel finisher is provided with an entrance and an outlet and respective pairs of air drums associated to the entrance and the outlet. The tunnel finisher comprises a conveyer with grippers for passing a garment to be treated through the tunnel finisher, a steam supply at the inner side of the inlet pair of air drums and close thereto, a recirculation apparatus for the atmosphere and a supply of air into the interior of the air drums. The conventional separation between the steam chamber and the finishing chamber is omitted by providing a detector actuated by a garment to be finished and controlling the cross-section of the air outlet of the recirculation apparatus.
Abstract: Ethanone oximes represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a cycloalkyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group, aryloxy group, aralkyloxy group, arylthio group or aryl sulfonyl group, those groups being optionally substituted with a substituent selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and a halogen atom, piperidino group, piperazino group, 4-alkyl substituted piperazino group, imidazolyl group 4-alkyl substituted imidazolyl group or substituted amino group,R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, andR.sup.3 represents a piperidino group, piperazino group or 4-alkyl substituted piperazino group, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with a phenyl group to which they are attached may form a phenothiazin-2-yl group, N-acetyl-phenothiazin-2-yl group, thianthren-2-yl group, dibenzothiophen-3-yl group, dibenzofuran-3-yl group or a group of the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.
