  • Patent number: 7048441
Abstract: In connection with the packaging of items or loose material in sheet packings it is known to use a web of cohering flat bag members, which is successively conveyed to a filling station, in which the bag members are opened, one by one, for filling and subsequent closing and separation from the web. The free mouth edges of the bag members or the web are profiled for supported conveyance on opposed carrier rods, tubes or gripping chains which, just before the filling station, diverge from each other for effecting opening of the bag members. The invention provides for a flat bag web, the upright edge strip portions of which are caused to be folded down over respective opposed carrier chains.

  • Patent number: 7044539
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a cover which can be moved into a raised position at its rear edge by a carriage which can be moved along guide rails in interaction with a cover carrier connected to the cover via a crank arrangement. The crank arrangement has at least one crank path and at least one sliding element which fits into the crank arrangement. For simple and reliable support of the cover in all phases, the crank arrangement preferably includes at least two crank paths and two sliding elements, wherein the crank paths are shaped and arranged such that when the carriage moves, a first sliding element assumes support of the cover in the direction of the height of the vehicle roof (Z-direction), while a second sliding element applies support in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle (X-direction). As the carriage continues to be displaced, a reversal of the supporting action of the two sliding elements occurs.

  • Patent number: 7032438
Abstract: A pressure gauge glow plug for a diesel engine having a plug body, a heating element, and a pressure sensor, which is positioned under pretension between the heating element and the plug body in such a way that the pressure sensor experiences the pressure existing in the combustion chamber of the cylinder in which it is inserted. The heating element is positioned so that it may be slid in an axial direction in the plug body and transmits the pressure in the combustion chamber of the cylinder to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is positioned on a heating element support that is permanently bonded to the heating element in a cap that permanently bonded to the plug body. The heating element support and pressure sensor form a unit that has axial play in the interior of the cap.

  • Patent number: 7032938
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock mechanism with a drive and an operating lever, the drive including a motor and a symmetrical actuating element. The actuating element engages the operating lever so that the operating lever can be moved by the drive into different operating states. The actuating element has a number of guide tracks which correspond to a number of initial positions that are equivalent with respect to the operating state of the operating lever. The operating lever comprises a journal that fits into the guide tracks is movable by the actuating element from a first operating state into a second operating state out of an initial position. If the adjustment motion of the actuating element is not completed and the actuating element is in an intermediate position, the operating lever is manually resettable into the first operating state, into one or another of the initial positions depending on the position of the actuating element relative to first and second sides of a turning point.

  • Patent number: 7025192
Abstract: The invention relates to an object turner or a turning apparatus (4) for end-turning of e.g. ice-cream cones (22) after selective deflection of the objects (22) from an object conveyor (2) on which the objects are placed lying in horizontal trays (6). The novelty of the turning apparatus (4) according to the invention is that the turning apparatus (4) has selection means, which makes the turning process selective, and means ensuring that the process operates in parallel and synchronously with the object conveyor (2). The selected objects (22) are forwarded into a turning unit (8), where the object (22) is end-turned around a horizontal axis (38), and returned onto the object conveyor (2) in the same tray (6) previously occupied by the object. Such a turning apparatus (4) makes it possible for objects (22) to be end-turned in a predetermined pattern of e.g. all objects, every second or third object.

  • Patent number: 7026930
Abstract: In a process for adjusting a movable motor vehicle part (33) between at least two positions by means of a drive (42), the monitoring area (13, 30, 31) outside and/or inside the motor vehicle (10) is checked for at least one perturbing object (32). When a perturbing object (32) is detected within the monitoring area (13, 30, 31), the drive (42) is turned off or reversed. In this way, perturbing objects can be detected without contact and can be protected against pinching even before they are actually pinched.

  • Patent number: 7021156
Abstract: A device for determining the straightness of shafts or shaft tunnels in segments is used preferably in larger water craft, but can also be used for measurement of oil pipelines. A first and a second adapter which each contain an optical transmitting and receiving device. The receiving devices are able to detect the location and direction of incidence of the light beams or laser beams incident on them. In this way, it is possible to quantitatively determine the parallel and angular offset of shafts, shaft tunnels or pipelines in segments by one single measurement process at a time. The adapters preferably have an identical form and work in the same way.
