The closure is optionally provided with at least one member attached to the tamper-indicating ring which cooperates with the arcuate projection to assist in breaking said tamper indicating ring during removal of the closure from the container neck.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a tamper evident informational article such as a temporary vehicle registration which may be made of paper or paperboard. The informational article includes a substrate having a zone for inserting information and a refractive image disposed within the zone. A covering is secured to at least a portion of the zone. In that way, efforts to remove the covering from the substrate will result in removal of a portion of the refractive image.

Abstract: A floor assembly having a plurality of elongated extrusions and a cooperating snap connector that is secured to a rigid underlying support. Each extrusion includes a pair of outer leg members and a pair of inner leg members, each of the outer leg members being connected to an adjacent inner leg member by horizontal support member. Each inner leg member includes a retaining tab extending therefrom. The snap connector includes an elongated base portion and a pair of flanges attached to opposed major sides of the base portion. The retaining tabs cooperate with the bottom section of the flanges to mechanically secure the extrusions to the snap connector. The snap connector is secured to the rigid underlying support.

Abstract: Harmonica structures designed for enhancing harmonica play are disclosed. In one aspect, a reed comb is provided with a common bridge having reeds formed integrally therewith. The reed plate has a plurality of reed slots formed therein and is adapted to receive the reeds of the reed comb into corresponding slots formed in the reed plate. A stepped portion formed in the reed plate is adapted to receive a reed of the reed comb therein to permit substantial encasement of the reed within the reed slot. A key benefit of this arrangement is to resist leakage of air between the reed plate and the flanks of the reed during harmonica play. The reed plate can also include a first stepped portion upon which the roots of the reeds are positioned and a second stepped portion positioned adjacent to the tips of the reeds. Other structures are disclosed that include a radiused surface formed on a portion of the reed or on the surface of the reed slot in which the reed is positioned.

Abstract: A snow plow including a snow plow blade and snow plow strap to attach the snow plow blade to a vehicle. An associated method of attaching a snow plow blade to a vehicle is also provided.

Abstract: The invention comprises a ventilator for a glass block window that includes a window frame, a window sash pivotably mounted in the window frame and a screen also pivotably mounted in the window frame. The window sash is pivotable between a closed position and an open position such that when the window sash is in the open position, rain and snow and the like are resisted from passing through the ventilator and into the building which has the glass block window. The invention also encompasses providing a ventilator as described above without the screen. Finally, a screen for a window is also provided. The screen is pivotably mounted to the window frame of the window. This screen can be used not only for the ventilator but also for other types of windows.

Abstract: A full-gussetted luggage article and an associated method for making a full-gussetted luggage article are provided. The full-gussetted luggage article includes an integrally molded full-gusset and a skin disposed over the full-gusset. An associated method of making a full-gussetted luggage article and a unique handle assembly for a full-gussetted luggage article are also disclosed.

Abstract: A luggage article including first rollers and selectively deployable or nondeployable second rollers. The luggage article includes a handle that is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The user can selectively deploy or not deploy the second rollers even when the handle is in the extended position. An improved detent device and also an improved caster system are also disclosed. Also, a wheeled panel mechanism by itself for use not only with luggage but also other articles such as carts, dollies and baby carriages, is disclosed.

Abstract: System comprised of a portable medical device and method for registering electrocardiographic (ECG) signals, extracting and representing the most significant parameters at different levels of detail using the color-coded scales which are understandable to a lay person and a medical professional. Low, intermediate and high-resolution scales are defined according to the corresponding software and hardware resources. A low-resolution Scale I represents a small number of primary elements such as intervals between the heart beats, duration of PQ, QRS, and QT-intervals, amplitudes of P-, Q-, R-, S-, and T-waves. This real-time analysis is implemented in a portable device that requires minimum computational resources. The set of primary elements and their search criteria are adjusted for each ECG using intermediate or high-resolution levels.

Abstract: A containment article, such as a luggage article, is provided which comprises a pair of substantially identical plastic shells which are hingedly connected to each other. The invention also includes an improved telescoping handle assembly for an article, such as wheeled luggage as well as a unique and novel safety latch for a containment article.

Abstract: A method of protecting an informational article including providing an informational article substrate having a zone for inserting variable information and a refractive image disposed within the zone, inserting the information in the zone so that at least a portion of the information is over the image, and securing a transparent tape having a write-resistant exposed surface over the information. The image resist photocopy duplication of the article and the write-resistant exposed surface resist alteration of the information.

A plastic box of this invention preferably has an automatically lockable bottom to facilitate erection of the box, and can be easily collapsed for return shipment and reuse.

Abstract: An improved harmonica is disclosed that includes a plurality of reeds and means operatively associated with at least one of the reeds that converts the mechanical vibration of the reed into electrical energy. The electrical signals are obtained and processed by a sensor board having sensors positioned thereon that correspond to the plurality of reeds on the reed plates of the harmonica. A variety of types and configurations for these sensors are provided. In addition, a piezoelectric material can be employed in conjunction with the reeds to alter the characteristics of their mechanical vibration during harmonica play. The sensor board or boards of the harmonica can be electrically coupled to auxiliary signal conditioning equipment, such as stereo equipment or conventional amplification equipment to further enhance play. Methods for retrofitting a commercially available harmonica with at least one sensor board are also provided.
