  • Patent number: 5988377
Abstract: A compartment includes a first broad panel adapted to cover a first side of a body board, and a second broad panel adapted to cover a second side of the body board. The first broad panel includes an elastic lined first lip at a distal end of the first broad panel, and the second broad panel includes an elastic lined second lip at a distal end of the second broad panel. The lips form a boundary of an opening adapted for the body board to be inserted there-through and into the compartment. The first broad panel is adapted to extend over a distal end of the body board so that the first lip is positioned on the second side of the body board, and the second broad panel is adapted to extend over the distal end of the body board so that the second lip is positioned on the first side of the body board. An accessory compartment is attached to the second broad panel. The accessory compartment includes structure forming an elongated accessory compartment opening.

  • Patent number: 5848569
Abstract: A first frame has a first end and a second end, two opposing first frame side walls and a first pivot pin extending laterally between the first frame side walls at the second end of the first frame. A generally planar first barrier is attached to the first pivot pin such that the first barrier is pivotal about the first pivot pin. A second frame has a primary end and a secondary end, the second frame comprising two opposing second frame side walls, each of the second frame side walls being pivotally attached at the secondary end of the second frame to one of the first frame side walls at the first end of the first frame. A second pivot pin extends laterally between the second frame side walls between the primary end and the secondary end. A generally planar second barrier is attached to the second pivot pin such that the second barrier is pivotal about the second pivot pin. The first barrier and the second barrier are positioned in an opposed manner to each other.

  • Patent number: 5657003
Abstract: A structure movement monitoring and emergency alarm system is disclosed utilizing a convention surveyor's laser transit. The transit is leveled and positioned to "shoot" across a structure that requires emergency monitoring, such as a building wall. The vertical reference position being established by the light beam, a video camera system is utilized to maintain a real-time image of the monitored area through the telescope of the transit. Using a computer for comparing, monitoring, and alarming, this visual image is digitized and referenced with a comparison grid. At regular intervals, a new visual image is compared to the reference grid to determine the location of the structure, as well as any relative movement from the reference position. Audio and visual alarms can then be activated immediately upon the determination that the position of the monitored structure has changed past acceptable limits.

  • Patent number: 5629667
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical circuit for use in an alarm system. The circuit and alarm system being in electrical communication with an electrical power source. The alarm system has a detector configured to generate a first signal and a second signal in response to triggering by an individual. The alarm system further has an announcer adapted to produce an IN announcement in response to an IN signal and an OUT announcement in response to an OUT signal. The circuit comprises a first circuit portion which is responsive to the first signal for generating the IN signal to activate the announcer; and a second circuit portion which is responsive to the second signal for generating the OUT signal to activate the announcer.

  • Patent number: 5627518
Abstract: An animal detector and driver warning system is provided having a compact and portable housing supported to the dashboard of a car or truck by a mounting bracket. A thermometer is included for reading and indicating ambient temperature, and an infrared sensor is mounted in the housing for reading and indicating localized increased fluctuations in infrared radiation. A signal processor converts the sensed radiation signal from the infrared sensor, and it is displayed on a temperature intensity indicator. Ambient temperature is also displayed and monitored.
