  • Patent number: 4436392
Abstract: An overhead projector which projects a distortion-free image onto a vertical screen at an oblique angle above the horizontal plane. In a first embodiment of the invention, a projection lens and mirror are displaced from the center of a transparency stage in the direction of projection and a thin, linear, incrementally-grooved prismatic sheet is positioned parallel to the stage and between the stage and a lighting means to redirect light transmitted through the stage and the transparency to the projection lens. In a second embodiment of the invention, the grooved prism is formed as an integral part of the lighting means.

  • Patent number: 4401272
Abstract: An aerosol sprayhead assembly which includes a restriction between a sprayhead inlet communicating with an aerosol container and a nozzle opening which produces a fan-shaped spray pattern. The restriction acts in cooperation with the nozzle opening to provide a more uniform spray than may be achieved using an otherwise identical sprayhead which does not include the restriction. In one embodiment of the invention, the restriction defines an orifice formed as part of the sprayhead. In another embodiment, the restriction defines a single orifice or a plurality of orifices located within an outlet tube terminating in the nozzle opening. In a further embodiment of the invention, the restriction defines an integral reduced cross-section portion of the outlet tube.

  • Patent number: 4401271
Abstract: Aerosol spray heads which provide a fan spray pattern for cohesive polymer solutions at high aerosol solids levels. The orifice of the spray heads is elongate in shape and generally aligned with and centered in an elongate groove in the exit face of the spray tip.

  • Patent number: 4395032
Abstract: A document feeder having multiple feed members biased into contact with a document to be fed which members are mounted in a manner affording their independent angular adjustment with respect to each other and with respect to the document path, and affording an equalization of the total bias force exerted against the document amongst each of the feed members.

  • Patent number: 4394010
Abstract: A sheet feeder for feeding sheets from a stack thereof, which feeder automatically fans or separates the uppermost sheets within the stack to facilitate their feeding. The feeder includes a feed roll brake releasably coupled to a feed roll which brake rotates with the feed roll until a pre-determined force is applied on the brake by a spring that has been compressed by the normal feeding rotation of the feed roll, causing the feed roll to rotate in the opposite direction to the normal feed direction, thereby fanning the uppermost sheets.
