Abstract: An improved one piece tibial tray uniquely characterized by its construction including an asymmetric keel extending from the bottom of the tibial tray base plate, whereby insertion of the tray during arthroplasty may be accomplished with a smaller than normal incision, enhancing the efficacy and safety of the surgical procedure. A fin on either or both sides of the asymmetric fin may be provided for enhanced stability of the tray.
Abstract: A deck connector that may be cast into a structural concrete element for use in joining adjacent ones of the concrete elements to each other by the use of weld plates that are movably disposed within a weld plate housing forming an element of each of the deck connectors.

Abstract: A composition for treating Xanthomonas spp. infections in agriculture crops wherein the treatment composition is an admixture of T. harzianum, Y. schidigera root extract, Y. schidigera leaf extract, and X. spp. extract. The composition is also efficacious as a pre-infection agent for enhancing the resistance of agriculture crops to such infections. The composition is preferably applied by spraying.
Abstract: A cable system for erecting a barricade such as, for example, a security fence, on a support surface such as, for example, the perimeter of an area to be protected. The cable system is uniquely characterized by the structure of the hollow support posts, or bollards, and their fittings for the attachment of lengths of cable thereto to provide a barricade having high strength. Lengths of cable not only extend between adjacent posts, but each end of each cable length passes through the hollow void of each post for attachment thereto below the support surface. Each of the posts used in the system is preferably set in concrete, and the hollow void of each individual post is also filled with concrete. Also disclosed is a preferred structure for an individual post.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing autologous medical treatment to a patient. The apparatus is characterized by its provision of a harvest catheter operatively connected to a pump and a delivery catheter operatively connected to the pump downstream from the harvest catheter, whereby material from the patient's donor site may be delivered to the patient's treatment site. The method is characterized by surgically implanting at least a first end of the harvest catheter and at least a second end of the delivery catheter within the patient's body. The entire apparatus may be implanted within the patient.
Abstract: An exercise device for strengthening the muscles of the pelvis, particularly the collective group of muscles involved in human sexual response, which are also important for controlling the evacuation of the intestines and the bladder. This exercise device focuses on increasing the strength, tone and endurance of these muscles. The device comprises a longitudinally extending member that includes a blunt head portion and a compressible shaft portion. The first end of the shaft portion is juxtaposed with the head portion. The first end of the shaft portion has an outwardly extending retaining slope formed thereon, particularly when the device is received within a pelvic body cavity and the muscles of the pelvic floor are at rest. The retaining slope is engageable with the retaining edge of the adjacent pelvic floor muscle platform of that pelvic body cavity to facilitate intracorporal retention within the pelvic body cavity.
Abstract: A zipper applicator operatively attachable to and usable with a horizontal form, fill, seal and separate packaging machine of the type used to make reclosable containers from a folded web of flexible material such as, for example, plastic film. The applicator is vertically adjustable with respect to the horizontal movement of web and zipper through the machine and includes a zipper eyelet for guiding the zipper into the applicator, a web guide that engages the fold of the web material, and an applicator guide for positioning the zipper with respect to the folded web so that the zipper can be attached thereto by the application of heat and pressure from a sealer mounted on the packaging machine. The vertical adjustability permits the applicator to be used for making bags of different sizes depending upon the width of the web material being run.
Abstract: A leg positioning and training device for a golfer is disclosed. The device is characterized by the structure including platform having a foot base plate rotatably mounted thereon for the golf's rear foot, wherein the foot base plate is adjustable in two planes. The footbase plate includes a segment that extends upwardly from the base plate in receiving relation to the user's foot and ankle, and this segment is angularly adjustable with respect to a plane that is substantially normal to the foot base plate. A strain gauge is operatively attached to that segment for receiving and measuring force applied by the user, and a display indicator is provided in operative connection to the strain gauge, whereby the user may see a representation of the force applied thereto during a golf swing.
Abstract: An improved serrated cutting blade is characterized by the shape and positioning of the sharpened teeth of the cutting edge. In preferred embodiments the blade may be used in combination with a handle or holder such as that typically referred to as a utility knife or box cutter.
Abstract: A cable stripper of the type typically used by an operator to remove the outer insulation layer from a coaxial cable having a ridged outer conductor such as that typically used in the telecommunications industry. The cable stripper includes unique stop devices that actually engage the stripped outer conductor so as to prevent removal of more than a predetermined length of the outer insulation and so as to present the distal end of the stripped cable for trimming so that the cable is properly prepared for use and installation.
Abstract: An improved apparatus for repairing a pipeline by the insertion of a resin-impregnated tubular liner is disclosed wherein the improvement resides in an end cap that is adhesively attached to one end of the liner, the end cap having a pull tab formed thereon and a rope attached thereto. Once the liner has been inverted into the pipeline being repaired and the resin-impregnated tubular liner has been disposed into intimate contact with the interior surface of the pipeline and allowed to cure, the end cap is easily stripped from the liner by pulling on the rope.
Abstract: An improved metal detector characterized by enclosing the detector's circuitry in a foldable enclosure whereby the improved detector may be transported easily and quickly and securely erected for use.
Abstract: In an injection molding device used to inject a thermoset casting resin into a mold wherein the device includes a source of resin, a mold for receiving and curing the resin, a delivery vessel for injecting the resin into the mold, and a conduit in fluid communication between the mold and the delivery vessel, the improvement being a uniquely-configured piston for injecting the resin wherein the moveable end of the piston ram is substantially cone-shaped with the vertex of the ram cone extending toward the distal end of the ram body from which the casting resin is injected through the conduit into the mold. The interior, distal end of the ram body is also substantially cone-shaped, with the vertex of the body cone extending inwardly in opposed relation to the ram cone.
