Abstract: A unit for feeding an ordered succession of products to an unloading station comprises: an arranging device including a first and a second conveyor, each constituting a first and a second conveyor portion on a feed path whose total length is the sum of the two portions that complementarily vary in length relative to each other; a device for feeding the products to the first conveyor in sets; a transfer device located between the conveyor portions, coupled to the conveyors and designed to complementarily vary the lengths of the portions. The transfer device comprises two resilient belts that transfer the products from the first to the second portion. The feed device is cyclically mobile and, consequently, the first conveyor and the transfer device are cyclically mobile according to a law of motion and timing dependent upon the cyclic motion of the feed device.
Abstract: A method and device for preparing the hard structures of teeth for the application of dental restorative materials, according to which, after a step of mechanical treatment to remove a layer of tissue from the hard structure of the tooth, at a given zone affected by a disorder, and after removing the debris generated by such treatment, a layer of an adhesive substance is spread over the zone using an application head connected by a wire in a support handpiece to a control power circuit able to generate electrical signals which subject the given zone to a difference in potential which subjects the adhesive substance to an electrokinetic force due to the passage of an electrical current able to move the adhesive substance in an even and deep way inside dentinal tubules and so that it occupies the irregular surface of the tooth enamel.

Abstract: A remote access device is disclosed for capturing, digitizing and communicating video signals from a host computer to a remote computer. The remote computer returns keyboard and mouse signals through the remote access device to the host computer to control the host computer as though the remote keyboard and mouse were directly connected to the host computer. The remote access device includes a circuit module interface for the host computer that allows the remote access device to operate independently of any operating system characteristics associated with the host computer.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the cooling of the casing (1) of the turbines (2, 3) of jet engines, in which cooling air is diverted from a bypass flow and supplied to the outer side of the casing via an inlet duct (8) provided with a shut-off element (5). According to the present invention, the cooling air is supplied to a first chamber (6) in which it is divided by volume. One portion of the cooling air is issued to the casing (1) via orifice holes (10), while another portion is ducted via several tubes (9) to a second chamber (7) which annularly encloses the casing (1) in the area of a low-pressure turbine (3).

Abstract: In a spray gumming unit, a gumming device is equipped with an ejector that sprays an adhesive substance and that is connected with a shutter element. The shutter element moves towards and away from the ejector between a position where it closes the ejector and in which a pad, fixed to one end of it, is in contact with the ejector, and a position where the ejector is left open. During the movement of the shutter element and of the pad between the ejector open and closed positions, an applicator applies an antiadhesive liquid substance on the pad.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hydraulic seal arrangement between two, more particularly co-rotating shafts of especially a gas turbine engine, where the radially outer shaft when viewed with reference to the shafts' axis of rotation has an annulus extending radially outward along its circumference into which the radially inner shaft when viewed with reference to the shafts' axis of rotation projects with a web that extends radially outward across its circumference, and which annulus can through an inlet area be filled siphon-fashion under centrifugal effect with a hydraulic medium at least in the area of the free end of the web when the shaft(s) is (are) rotating. In accordance with the present invention, means are provided for exhausting part of the hydraulic medium, said means branching off from an annulus area that is farthest away from the inlet area.
