  • Patent number: 4182089
Abstract: Spaced apart webs extend between upright sidewalls of a block having parallel upper and lower surfaces. A plurality of the blocks are placed in staggered linear courses to form a wall. Projections extending upwardly from the webs of the blocks are secured in the spaces between the webs of the blocks of the successive course. The projections interlock with the sidewalls for lateral alignment of the blocks, and are spaced from the webs for longitudinal adjustment of the blocks. Corner blocks and end blocks are also provided.

  • Patent number: 4154400
Abstract: A collar, slidably carried upon the barrel of a wand-type spray gun, is normally urged rearward against a stop by a compression spring. Disposed between the stop and the collar is a ring-like member which rocks relative the barrel using the edge of the collar as a fulcrum. The ring-like member abuts a lip extending radially inward from the forward end of a holder tube and prevents expulsion of the spray gun in response to the rearward force from the emission of high pressure fluid from the nozzle of the spray gun. Slight pressure upon the handle readily withdraws the spray gun from the holder and tapered fins carried by the collar. A ramp depending from the lip guides the spray gun into the holder.

  • Patent number: 4136799
Abstract: A decanter for hot or cold liquids, comprising a cylindrical receptacle having an open top and a cover detachably mounted on the receptacle at its open top. The cover consists of an upper annulus and a skirt of larger diameter than the annulus and connected thereto by a shoulder. Portions of the skirt and the annulus are spaced apart to provide a groove which receives the upper edge portion of the receptacle with a sealing fit. A top wall is integral with the annulus and is tilted with respect to a plane normal to the axis of the receptacle. This top wall is formed with a drinking opening adjacent its periphery and a relief vent diametrically opposed to the drinking opening and also adjacent to the periphery of the top wall. Depending from the inner face of the top wall and between the drinking opening and vent are a pair of spaced posts.

  • Patent number: 4133446
Abstract: A cover for a drinking vessel of heat-insulating material comprising a cylindrical wall with elements at its lower end which cooperate with complemental elements at the upper end of a drinking vessel to provide a detachable bayonet joint. Integral with the upper end portion of the cylindrical wall is an inclined flat wall formed with a drinking opening and a relief vent in diametric alignment. Depending from the inclined wall substantially midway between said opening and vent are a pair of spaced lugs each having a journal recess opening onto its lower edge. A lever has a pair of studs extending from its opposite side faces and received in said recesses with snap fits. Upstanding from one end of the lever is an arm which projects through the drinking opening and carries a valve member on its upper end which is of greater extent than said drinking opening and normally engages the upper surface of the inclined wall about the drinking opening.

  • Patent number: 4128182
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a very compact, highly maneuverable, trash collecting and handling vehicle having forward and rearward portions steerably connected together about a vertical pivotal axis located between the front and rear wheels; the front and rear wheels being driven hydraulically through a pair of differentials which are powered by hydraulic motors driven by a pair of respective hydraulic pumps which are variable delivery and reversable wobble plate controlled piston type pumps; and wherein a manual control variably increases flow from said pumps to motors when said manual control is moved in one direction and whereby, when said manual control is moved in an opposite direction, the opposite functions occur with relation to the pumps and hydraulic motors. The disclosure also relates to trash container pickup means and operator control means on the forward portion of the vehicle and a trash receiver carried by the rearward portion of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4110021
Abstract: A micro fiche indexer which shifts a fiche containing a plurality of images in horizontal rows both laterally and vertically under the influence of a single operating member that is actuated by the user. It comprises a screen on which an enlarged reproduction of an image on the fiche is cast together with a light source included as a part of an optical system, and a microswitch which cuts out the light source as the fiche is shifted to bring into viewing position a new image. The operating mechanism for causing the shifting includes a pushbutton mounted in a cabinet below the screen and which is carried at one end of a lever that is pivoted on a fulcrum intermediate its ends, whereby the other end of the lever raises an actuating panel which, due to its upward movement, first shifts a holder in which the fiche is mounted laterally from one station to another and at the end of a row, moves the fiche holder vertically from one row to another.
