Abstract: The present invention relates to a mezuzah case having an electronic signaling device for attracting attention of Jewish people walking through a doorway to a mezuzah which is affixed to the doorpost. The Mezuzah case includes housing for holding and protecting a mezuzah parchment and an electric signaling device for emitting a noticeable signal. According to one embodiment the signaling device is a light source. According to an alternative embodiment, the signaling device emits an audio signal. The mezuzah case may further include electronic means for automatically controlling the signaling device according to a preset program and a power source for energizing the electronic means and the signaling device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a socket including a connector insulatedly disposed inside the socket, the connector including contacts electrically connected to a source of input current. The socket further includes a slot for receiving an electronic card in the socket for connecting it to the connector, and a conductor for coupling the connector to at least one blade contact in the socket. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the socket further includes an insulating body defining at least one plug blade receiving slot for disposing the blade contact therein, and a card slot which extends to the connector, and the electronic card is further having contacts complementary to each of the connector contacts.

Abstract: A device and method for coupling a pipe and a fitting. The device includes a pipe holder for releasably gripping a pipe, a fitting retainer for releasably retaining a pipe fitting substantially coaxially with a pipe in the pipe holder, and a drive mechanism for driving together the pipe holder and the fitting retainer along a longitudinal axis in a relative motion between them. The device may optionally slide a reinforcing sleeve along the pipe to cover the end of the pipe on the fitting.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an infrared detection countermeasure system for enabling concealment of objects from identification by thermal imaging night vision systems and/or for deception of heat seeking missiles. The system comprises a screen formed of at least one thermoelectric module, couplable to a target object, a controller for controlling the thermoelectric module, at least two temperature sensors for measuring ambient temperature and temperature of one side of the thermoelectric module and providing an indication of the temperature to the controller, and a power source coupled to the thermoelectric module. The controller is coupled to the power source for causing the power source to provide a level of power, selected in accordance with the temperature indications, to the thermoelectric module so as to generate a selected temperature in at least part of said screen.
