Abstract: The inventive method consists in the following: a drillable packer provided with a channel closed by a back valve is arranged in a well; afterwards a tubing string carrying a jet pump and a stinger is run into said well, the stringer being connected to the packer; the back valve is open; a logging instrument and a sealing unit are introduced into the tubing string with the aid of a cable; a depression is produced on the formation by means of the pump, a bottomhole pressure and the parameters of the formation are measured with the aid of said instrument, the parameters of physical fields being recorded. The results of said investigations being interpreted, the technical state of the well is defined. The instrument and the sealing unit being extracted from the tube string, a blocking insert is dropped therein. The tubing string is uplifted, the stringer is disconnected from the packer and the back valve is closed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a diffractive optical system having a two-dimensional structure, which can be used as a phase shift mask for the fabrication of an optical element having a two-dimensional fine periodic structure, and a two-dimensional light beam splitter. The diffractive optical system 10 comprises a transparent substrate surface 1 that is divided in alignment with orthogonal two directions into minuscule square cell groups 2, 3 of the same shape in a checked pattern. The square cells that give a phase 2p? and a phase {(2q+1)?±??} where 0???0.25 and p and q are each an integer with respect to reference-wavelength light striking vertically on the transparent substrate surface 1 are alternately arranged in each direction, and the phase 2p?-giving square cells and the phase {(2q+1)?±??}-giving square cells are located in such a way as to be in alignment with 45° diagonal directions of said two directions.

A linear rectifying circuit as a major technique connects to the output of the power factor corrector to detect power dissipation and represent the result in a display, thus user can take necessary measures when a computer draws excessive power.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display improves light utilization efficiency with a cholesteric liquid crystal filter to ensure color density enough to enable both transmission and reflection type displays. The display comprises a liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal layer between transparent substrates, a voltage applying electrode, a driving circuit, an illumination light source, and a pair of circularly polarizing plates. A cholesteric liquid crystal filter semitransparent to red, green and blue wavelength ranges is located on the illumination light-directing side. The liquid crystal layer viewing side has a cholesteric liquid crystal color filter array capable of transmitting red, green and blue wavelength ranges and reflecting light in other wavelength ranges depending on a pixel arrangement, and absorption type color filter array is located in alignment therewith and capable of transmitting only red, green and blue wavelength ranges and absorbing light in other wavelengths.

The list includes a result image indicating a pass/fail for each DUT and the reduced image of a fail bit map.

Abstract: The present invention is a wavelength conversion laser apparatus for converting wavelength by utilizing a nonlinear optical crystal and capable of safely using it over a long time. For this end, the fundamental wave laser light emitted from the pumping chamber unit 3 which is a solid state laser light source is converted into the second harmonic wave by the first nonlinear optical crystal unit 20. And the second harmonic wave is, then, converted into the third (or fourth) harmonic wave by the second nonlinear optical crystal unit 30. Filled in the container 24, 35 for each of the nonlinear optical crystal units 20, 30 is a dry inert gas. A humidity sensor 51 detects humidity inside the container. The output from the humidity sensor 51 is supplied to the laser control portion 58. When the detected humidity exceeds a predetermined value, the laser oscillation is interrupted, thereby preventing the nonlinear optical crystal from being damaged in case of any defect in the sealing structure of the container.

The laser system comprises a laser chamber filled with an F2-containing laser gas, discharge electrodes located in the laser chamber, a laser resonator and a line-narrowing module located in the laser resonator with a wavelength selection element, so that a line-narrowed laser beam emerges from the laser resonator. To cut off ASE from the laser beam emerging from the laser resonator, the duration from laser emission by discharge to generation of a laser beam is preset. Rise of the sidelight is made so gentle that the starting point of a laser pulse can exist after the time of the first sidelight peak.

Abstract: The invention relates to jet device used for extracting oil from wells. The inventive device comprises a packer, a pipe column, a jet pump, a transmitter and a receiver of physical fields. The body of the pump comprises a through stepped channel embodied in a parallel position with respect to the axes of the pipe column and having a seat disposed between steps for arranging a sealing unit, which is provided with an axial channel. Said pump body is also provided with an active nozzle. The axis of the active nozzle is disposed in a parallel position with respect to the axis of the through channel at a distance equal to or higher than 1.1 of the radius thereof. The diameter of the through channel above the seat is 0.5 mm greater than the diameter thereof below said seat. The diameter of the axial channel of the sealing unit is equal to or less than 0.6 of the external diameter thereof.

The rocker arm and rotation assemblies provide multiple effective massages to different groups of muscles of a human body to mitigate the ache of the muscles.

Abstract: A printer (image forming device) (10), which includes AC loads driven by an AC power, is connected to an external device (30) via a single power line for a logic operation and a signal line. More specifically, a printer driver (11) and an engine controller (13) operate on a 5V power supply voltage obtained via a USB cable (20). When a standby state is entered, a relay (17) is turned off, an AC power supply to a drive power supply (19) is disconnected, and a power supply to the AC loads is disconnected. When the standby state is released by a signal received from the PC (30), an ON signal is generated for the relay (17) to supply the AC power. In this way, the standby power is reduced to improve energy saving.

Abstract: A hinge used for a mobile device includes a base mounted on a body of the mobile device. A bracket is rotatably mounted on the base by an upright pintle. A positioning washer is provided between the bracket and the base. A seat is mounted on the bracket, and a lateral pintle is rotatably installed on the seat and substantially perpendicular to the upright pintle. A monitor of the mobile device is installed on the lateral pintle. Whereby, the monitor can be raised while the lateral pintle is rotated about the seat, and can be turned left or right for adjusting a horizontal visual angle while the bracket is rotated about the upright pintle.

Abstract: It is object to provide a memory system for reliably detecting an error, if any, in management information that is read out. The same content of telephone number data is stored in memories 8, 9, 10. When telephone number data is read out of the memories 8, 9, 10, a comparing section 20 judges if all the contents of the telephone number data are the same. If not, a parity error detecting section 22 performs parity check of the telephone number data and excludes the content from which a parity error is detected as an object not to be processed thereafter. After the parity check, an object-to-be-processed determining section 24 determines whether or not there is any telephone number data in the majority on the basis of the criterion that the sum of the pieces of the telephone number data that is read out. If there is not such telephone number data, it judges that there is an error.

Abstract: The invention relates to jet devices for extracting oil from wells and intensifying the oil influx rate. An output cone, a packer and a jet pump are mounted on a tubing string. One or several active nozzles are arranged inside the pump body, and a stepped pass channel provided with a mounting seat for a pressure-sealing unit which is disposed between stages and several channels for supplying a pumped-out medium are embodied inside said pump body. The axes of the nozzles are disposed in a parallel position with respect to the axis of the pass channel at a certain distance therefrom. The inventive device is provided with a radiator and a receiver-transducer of physical fields mounted on a cable in such a way that it is replaceable by other instruments. Said cable passes through the axial channel of the sealing unit which is arranged in such a way that it is successively replaceable by functional inserts such as a testing and depression inserts etc.

Abstract: A waterproof splitter box includes a hollow casing with threaded sleeves integrally extending out of the hollow casing, plastic inserts each securely received in a corresponding one of the threaded sleeves, rubber plugs each having a top portion, a mediate portion and a bottom portion which is received in a corresponding one of the plastic inserts, connecting blades each extending into a corresponding one of the plastic inserts and out of the rubber plug which is received in the plastic insert and signal wires each extending and connecting to a corresponding one of the connecting blades for transmitting a signal. The engagement between the connecting blade and the rubber plug prevents moisture from entering the hollow casing so that the transmitted signal is steady.
