  • Patent number: 7569091
Abstract: The present invention provides 1) a convenient and novel method for prescribing constituent nutrients in a compound fertilizer that takes into account ambient concentrations of one or more of the nutrients in the irrigation water; 2) a convenient and novel method of prescribing the constituents of compound fertilizers based on predetermined ratios between a desired final concentration of an index nutrient and a desired concentration of at least one non-index nutrient; and, 3) a convenient and novel method of formulating compound fertilizers by providing a graduated series of stocks that accommodate wide variation in ambient concentrations of an index nutrient in local irrigation waters.

  • Patent number: 7063427
Abstract: The present invention is a portable mirror device for hunters or other persons who need to extend their field of view to the side or rear without moving their head appreciably. The device is reversibly attached to a body-segment of the user and can either be raised to an active position or folded in a stored position against the body-segment. Also disclosed is an attachment-cuff for attaching the invention to the body-segment. The cuff comprises a rigid or semi-rigid inner member encased by a covering, which covering has two ends with closure means attached thereto for securing the cuff to the body-segment.

  • Patent number: 6997882
Abstract: The present invention comprises novel methods and devices for monitoring a subject by acquiring reliable and accurate 6-DOF data regarding the subject, and by using those data to obtain information about the subject's movements in three-dimensional space. Information regarding the subject's movements is, optionally, combined with information regarding the subject's physiological status so that comprehensive knowledge regarding the subject may be acquired by those monitoring the subject.

  • Patent number: 6968582
Abstract: The present invention provides top-bedding that has a head-end delimited by a head-end edge; a foot-end opposite the head-end, the foot-end delimited by a foot-end edge substantially parallel to the head-end edge; at least one pair of opposing sides delimited by side-edges; a first head-end corner and a second head-end corner; and a reversible expansion means for reversibly converting the top-bedding from a closed configuration to an open configuration, the closed configuration being approximately rectangular, and the open configuration having the shape of an irregular, simple polygon, whereby the distance between the first head-end corner and the second head-end corner is greater when the top-bedding is in the open configuration than when it is in the closed configuration.
