Abstract: A device for mounting a tire on a wheel that includes a locking ring to hold the tire in place on the wheel, where the device includes a locking member which locks to the rim of the wheel and includes a cross bar with depending feet, which is connected to the locking member and is movable toward the locking member with the depending push bars engaged with the locking ring to press the locking ring into locking engagement with the wheel.
Abstract: A system for the evacuation of persons from a multi story structure during circumstances in which the normal escape mechanisms such as stairs and elevators are unusable for any reason. The system mounts externally of the affected structure and provides at least one evacuator upon which a person may ride in a controlled descent from an area of danger to an area of relative safety. The evacuator rides on a post and the evacuee may control the speed of his or her descent with a simple braking mechanism. A safety belt and foot rests provide a sense of security during the descent from danger.
Abstract: A combined hoist and skinning apparatus which is readily assembled and disassembled in the field for use and transportation. An animal to be skinned is raised on the hoist and a skinning assembly is provided at or near the base of the hoist. In order to skin the animal, cuts are made in the skin, which frees a segment of the skin, the end of which is then inserted into the skinning assembly, where it is wound onto a rod. The process is repeated until the animal has been skinned.
Abstract: A rotary shaper tool for use in conjunction with a power tool used to rotate the shaper tool in which a cutter panel is formed about a cylindrical framework. The cutter panel is formed with rows or sets of cutter teeth and an array of vent holes. Chips formed by the engagement of the spinning cutter panel with a wooden workpiece pass to the interior of the shaper tool and are ejected from the vent holes remote from the area of engagement.

Abstract: A dipole antenna for use in a vehicle, or the like, having individual positioners to receive antenna rods such that the antenna may be mounted out of the vision of the vehicle operator while providing optimum performance, and an amplifier in the antenna circuit to further enhance the signal.
Abstract: An improved asphalt patching machine which is mountable to a motor vehicle having a supply of asphalt patch material thereon. The patching machine comprises a dispensing and finishing assembly fed by a multi-part, articulatable conveyor which feeds asphalt patching material to the dispensing and finishing assembly, which is movable in substantially the plane of the roadway, to position the dispensing and finishing assembly over the effected area to be patched. The machine first deposits patching material in the effected area and, thereafter, from the dispensing and finishing assembly, integrates the patch into the existing surrounding roadway.
Abstract: A harp for supporting a shade on an illuminating device in which the harp is extensible and retractable to a desired height, in which a button in the upper member of the harp is received in one of several openings in the lower legs and is spring biased to hold the button therein until moved manually.
