Abstract: An upstanding bladed rotor is journalled from support structure and a windshield assembly is also journalled from the support structure for angular displacement about an upstanding axis about the rotor. The windshield assembly includes a wind-shielding portion which extends generally about one half the periphery of the rotor and further includes a wind vane operative to maintain the assembly in predetermined position relative to wind incident upon the rotor with the wind-shielding portion in position to shield generally one lateral half of the rotor from the incident wind.

The housing includes a domed, removable top member for the filter housing, and the domed top includes mounting means within its domed section for (1) a balanced pressure thermostatic air vent, (2) a backwash water inlet, (3) a filtered condensate outlet, and (4) a safety valve.
Abstract: An electronic remote chemical identification system is described, in which a transponder for recording information regarding the contents and other information of a railroad tank car, highway tank truck or other container is placed thereon, the transponder being coded remotely with the information by a remotely located, fixed or portable encoder and interrogated when desired by a remotely located, fixed or portable interrogator unit. In the case of an accident, emergency and other response personnel can utilize the interrogator to query a single or a plurality of transponders on the tank cars in the train or on the tank truck to safely and immediately ascertain the exact contents of the containers and other associated information regarding the shipper, the origin and destination of the consignment, shipper's emergency personnel telephone number and proper response action to be taken at the accident scene, etc.
Abstract: A universal mounting system for attachment of a swim platform or the like to the transom of a boat, including mounting feet attached to telescoping support members which allow both longitudinal and rotational translation of the mounting brackets in order to accommodate any transom configuration, shape or angle. Two embodiments are shown, one with a three-piece swim platform deck for use with inboard/outboard engines, and another with a one-piece deck for other boat designs.
Abstract: An accessory support is provided for attachment to a mechanic's tool cabinet for storage of a mechanic's creeper and other frequently used items, such as aerosol cans. The support base is in the form of an elongated storage tray, sized for attachment to the end of most standard tool cabinets or side boxes. Two outwardly and upwardly extending arms, adjustably mounted on the outer side of the support tray, are provided to support the caster shafts of a mechanic's creeper. A third support arm extends downwardly from the outer side of the base in the form of a hook for storing a coiled air hose or the like, and also serves to stabilize the supporting platform of the creeper, to maintain it stationary in a vertical position.
