Abstract: A mold apparatus for making multi-component products includes (i) a rotatable turret with a plurality of product connector pairs attached to opposite sides of the turret, (ii) a first mold disposed proximate to the turret and (iii) a second mold disposed on the opposite side of the turret. The first mold has a plurality of cavities for molding a first molded layer of the multi-component product, and the second mold has a plurality of cavities for molding a second layer onto the first molded layer. Each product connector is rotatable about its longitudinal axis to allow the mold apparatus to make multi-component products having first molded layers and second molded layers with indentations and/or protuberances disposed in a variety of orientations.
Abstract: A breath measurement instrument using a combination of breath pressure, temperature, and humidity measurements to determine whether or not breath samples are human and properly delivered. Valid samples require maintenance of a threshold dynamic pressure of a sample being introduced for a predetermined time, a valid temperature of the sample and a valid humidity of the sample, wherein the range of valid sample temperatures is adjusted according to a measured sample humidity. Also disclosed is a breath alcohol instrument having an alcohol-specific fuel cell and a fuel cell circuit for generating a breath alcohol signal. Further disclosed is an interlock system for inhibiting operation of machinery such as a vehicle, and a method for screening breath samples and determining an alcohol content thereof.
Abstract: A portable hand dryer has an air blower and, optionally, an air heater. The hand dryer includes a laterally protruding male electrical plug having at least two prongs which provides electricity to the blower and which allows the hand dryer to be supported from a structure wall. In one embodiment, the male plug can be folded flush with the rear wall of the hand dryer. In another embodiment, the hand dryer also has a laterally extending distal prong which provides additional support for the hand dryer along a structure wall. In yet another embodiment, the hand dryer comprises a spacer on a rear wall of the hand dryer to separate the rear wall from the structure wall.

Abstract: An improved truck for use with a skateboard or roller skate. The truck has a truck hanger attached to a mounting bracket. The truck hanger has opposed axle elements for mounting a pair of opposed wheels. The truck hanger also has a hanger flange and a hanger pivot. The mounting bracket has a base plate, a pivot bore and a king pin. The truck hanger is affixed to the mounting bracket with the hanger pivot disposed within the pivot bore and with the hanger flange disposed over the king pin. A hanger flange is sandwiched between an inner cushion element and an outer cushion element. Both the inner cushion element and the outer cushion element have an elastomeric outer portion and a substantially rigid liner portion.
Abstract: A hand-held instrument has a business end and a handle attached to the business end. The handle has a gripping portion and a longitudinal axis. A knob is provided on the gripping portion of the handle to facilitate the wielding of the hand-held instrument. The knob is disposed such that it projects away from the handle in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the handle. In a preferred, but not required embodiment, the knob is removably attached to the handle by a quick release attachment device. In a typical, but not required, such embodiment, the quick release attachment device includes a male connection pin disposed within the knob and a female receptor disposed within the hand tool.
Abstract: A board game includes hexagonal game pieces that are rotatable between discrete orientations at array locations on a game board as well as being movable between array locations, with game outcomes being dependent on facing indicia of adjacent game pieces of opposing players. Exemplary game pieces are hexagonal representations of turtles, the game board array locations also being hexagonal. Edge margin segments of each game piece have associated indicia representing the integers 1 through 6, and a moving piece having equal or superior indicia facing an opposing piece can “take” the opposing piece. Also disclosed is a method for using the board game.
Abstract: The invention is a process for manufacturing plastic zipper bags. In the process, zippers are disposed along both opposing edges of a pair of contiguous elongate plastic sheets. The elongate plastic sheets are then divided into individual bags by sealing the two plastic sheets to one another along spaced-apart transverse sealing lines. By these steps, the pair of elongate plastic sheets are transformed into a strip of plastic bags comprising a plurality of individual plastic bags attached to one another along abutting transverse sealing lines. Each plastic bag along the strip of plastic bags has a zippered upper edge and a zippered lower edge. Next, the upper edge of every other plastic bag along the plastic bag strip is sealed with a sealing edge disposed parallel to and proximate to the zipper along the upper edge. On each of the other bags along the plastic bag strip, the lower edge is sealed with a sealing line disposed parallel to and proximate to the zipper along the lower edge.
Abstract: A scleral expansion segment consists of an arched rod designed to be placed on the sclera perpendicular to the ciliary body. The arched rod has a pair of free ends connected by a bridge. The free ends have a spatula shape wider than the diameter of the bridge, so as to constitute wide support bases.
Abstract: A portable support frame kit suitable for suspending a pinata. The portable support frame kit has a support frame component carrying case with a maximum length less than about 120 inches and a maximum external volume less than about 10 cubic feet. The kit also has a plurality of support frame components disposed within a carrying case. The support frame components are assemblable into a free-standing support frame having a height above the ground between about 5 feet and about 25 feet. Each of the plurality of support frame components is shorter in length than about 120 inches, and the combined weight of the support frame kit is less than about 175 pounds.
