  • Patent number: 6828530
Abstract: An illuminating apparatus for an induction coil of an induction cooking field is in the form of a ⅓ circular ring segment and carries conducting tracks, which form turns of a coil, which is connected to several LEDs. During induction coil operation an alternating voltage is induced in the coil and consequently the LEDs are supplied. With such an illuminating apparatus it is possible without additional wiring expenditure to illuminate an induction coil under a glass ceramic cooking field.

  • Patent number: 6821607
Abstract: The method and the device for manufacturing an acoustically effective foil stack (9) made of embossed foil webs (5e, 5f, 5g, 5h) is characterised by the fact that at least two foil webs lying over one another (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) are embossed at the same time, are conveyed along different length conveying routes (W, W1, W2, W3), and then are brought together into a stack (9), and embossed foil webs (5e, 5f, 5g, 5h) arranged to be lying next to one another are laid down in an offset fashion due to the different length conveying routes (W, W1, W2, W3). A particularly advantageous design of the embossing rollers (1a, 1b) provides foil webs which have knobs with a draped or folded type structure.

  • Patent number: 6787456
Abstract: Inter-connectors are typically used for interconnecting electronic components. Interconnections between electronic components are generally classified into at least two broad categories of “relatively permanent” and “readily demountable”. A “readily demountable” connector includes a spring-like contact structure of one electronic component for connecting to a terminal of another electronic component. The spring-like contact structure, also known as an inter-connector, generally requires a certain amount of contact force to effect reliable pressure contact to a terminal of an electronic component. Therefore, the shape and metallurgy of the inter-connector are important factors in determining the effectiveness of the inter-connector for making pressure connection to a terminal of the electronic component. Conventional methods of making such an inter-connector use lithographic and planarisation methods to “make” the inter-connectors in segments.

  • Patent number: 6772386
Abstract: With two consecutive product-coded ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, as a set, the rth row of first ECB block EB1 is followed by the rth row of second ECC block EB2 in such a way that the first row of first ECC block EB1 is followed by the first row of second ECB block EB2, which is followed by the second row of first ECC block ECB1, which is followed by the second row of second ECC block EB2, and so on, to interleave data on a row basis. That is, data of two ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, is allocated alternately on a row basis. This allocation method allows an error to be distributed after reproduction even when a serious burst error extending 18 rows occurs in an ECC block.

  • Patent number: 6730731
Abstract: A thermally conductive polymer composition includes polymer matrix such as thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elastomer and a graphitized carbon fiber which serves as a thermally conductive filler. The graphitized carbon fiber is made from a mesophase pitch. The mesophase pitch is spun, infusibilized, carbonized, pulverized, and graphitized to form powdery graphitized carbon fibers. Preferably, the graphitized carbon fibers have a diameter of 5-20 &mgr;m, an average particle size of 10-500 &mgr;m, and a density of 2.20-2.26 g/cm3. The composition may be molded to form a thermally conductive molded article such as a thermally conductive sheet. The thermally conductive polymer composition and thermally conductive molded article have high thermal conductivity and transfer large amounts of heat from electric or electronic parts.
