Abstract: A reaction vessel which includes internally placed temperature controlling mixing baffles in which liquid is boiled, resulting in an isothermal heat sink. The energy of vaporization is supplied by the reaction vessel contents. The vapor produced by the boiling may be directed to channel coils which surround the outside of the reaction vessel wall. The channel coils contact the outside wall of the reaction vessel perpendicularly, and provide mechanical support for the reaction vessel. The mechanical support from the channel coils allows for a decrease in the thickness of the reaction vessel wall and corresponding increased heat transfer efficiency between the channel coil contents and the reaction vessel contents. The entire above described apparatus is enclosed within an evacuated shell to provide additional insulation.
Abstract: A sunshade for an inner surface of a windshield comprised of an open-weave and air permeable fabric. At least one air-moving device is also provided to circulate air into and out of the gap between the sunshade and a windshield against which the sunshade is installed.
Abstract: A motorized beverage mixing device having a housing adapted to accommodate a beverage mixing container. The housing is adapted to removably-retain the mixing container while the housing is rotated in an oscillating motion. The housing is preferably adapted to rotate the mixing container to or past a horizontal orientation in at least one rotational direction.

Abstract: A tilter assembly is provided for positioning an electronic device such as a flat panel display. The tilter assembly includes a tilter head having an opening aligned along an axis and a tilter bar received within the opening. The tilter head is rotatable about the axis, and may be coupled to a support. The tilter assembly also includes a spring, such as a torsion spring, coupled to the tilter bar to provide a bias or counterbalance to the electronic device, thereby preventing undesired movement of the electronic device.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for batch displacement digester systems to increase tank farm vessel temperatures for more efficient delignification rates by mitigating the formation of flow channels in the chip bed, minimizing the vertical temperature gradient in the digester and segregation of returning liquors to the tank farm from the digester.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reducing surface friction drag on the hull of a surface vessel by entraining air into water flowing in the boundary layer flow along the hull. The apparatus creates a reduced pressure region by diverting a first portion of the flow away from the surface of the hull. An air pocket is formed in the reduced pressure region and a second portion of the flow is directed through the air pocket by nozzles, which acts as a plunging jet and entrains air into the boundary layer.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to extension arm apparatuses that are adapted to support user devices throughout a range of positions. A given apparatus may include one or more arms that position the user device remotely from a support position. An extension and retraction device such as a gas cylinder is received within each arm, and provides a force to support the user device as the arm is placed into a given position. A variable force clevis is connected to the extension/retraction device within the arm. The variable force clevis is connected to a pair of locations in the arm as well. As the arm moves, for instance up or down, the variable force clevis rotates within the arm and dynamically adjusts the force provided by the extension/retraction device. Removable and/or pivotable covers are provided for managing cables of the user device attached to the extension arm.

Abstract: The present invention provides an extension arm apparatus with angled clevis operation to provide enhanced mechanical leverage. The clevis adjusts along a path angled relative to an axis of the device, which significantly boosts performance and can reduce the size of the apparatus. Upper and lower channels of the device taper from a first width to a second width, providing a sleek and functional apparatus that can be used with heavy monitors, displays or other user equipment. When a forearm extension attached to an endcap of the apparatus, an interlocking washer and shaft configuration prevents the forearm extension-endcap connection from loosening during operation.
Abstract: A cabinet mount arm including an arm having an elongate ring and a housing extending therefrom. The elongate ring includes a first edge, a second edge, an interior wall and an exterior wall. The interior wall and the exterior wall extend between the first edge and the second edge. The elongate ring further includes an aperture extending from the first edge to the second edge and defined by the interior wall of the elongate ring. The cabinet mount arm further includes a pivoting and locking mechanism enabling the arm to move relative to a swivel coupler.
Abstract: Introducing a combination of suspended attached growth Medias and biological reactants into a sewage treatment process with or without additional reaction to improve and increase capacity of a given process. Media and biological reactants can be disposed in a perforated container or flexible container that can be submerged in a sequencing bed reactor or the aeration and/or mixing tanks of an activated sludge sewage treatment process.
