  • Patent number: 4870739
Abstract: This invention discloses an apparatus for removing pins from connecting link boat hardware. After connecting links are used to secure anchors or buoyes to chains, the links often become corroded and it is difficult or impossible to remove the connecting link pin on order to release the anchor or buoy. The invention is a portable apparatus which can be attached to a connecting link in a position of alignment with the connecting link pin. A plunger is then activated so as to force the pin out of the connecting link so that the connecting link can be disassembled.

  • Patent number: 4869236
Abstract: This invention is an apparatus which collects and stores grease discharged from exhaust fan systems of commercial kitchens. There is a means for collecting the grease which is adjustable so that it can be attached to fit most any size commercial exhaust fan. Once the grease is collected, it flows into a means for storing the grease. The means for storing the grease is releasably supported by means for collecting the grease. Thus, the means for storing the grease can be released, the stored grease removed, and then re-attached to the means for collecting the grease. The invention also includes a means for discharging rain water that is collected by the means for collecting grease. Any water which is collected is discharged into the drainage pipe located on the restaurant roof.

  • Patent number: 4830325
Abstract: A picture hanging device particularly designed for hanging framed and unframed pictures and artwork. The picture hanging device is designed so that it is easily attachable to the backing of a picture and a wire can be looped over a nail or screw inserted in a wall so that the picture will hang in a substantially vertical position. The device comprises a body having tapered arms extending upwardly until said arms come to substantially a point, and a plurality of holes; and a wire looped through said holes. At least one side of said body and arms form a substantially vertical plane, and at least two sides of said body extend outwardly and downwardly away from said body.

  • Patent number: 4790222
Abstract: A device for cutting oval or circle shaped forms, as well as irregular or scalloped variations thereof, in picture frame mats or the like. It consists of a cutting unit releasably securable both to a stationary arm or a reciprocating arm. When the cutting mount is secured only to the stationary arm, as the stationary arm rotates, the cutting unit mount turns and a circle or oval form is cut. If the cutting unit mount is only secured to the reciprocating arm, a chain and sprocket or gear arrangement causes the reciprocating arm and cutting unit to move in and out as the oval or circle shaped form is cut. A mechanism for adjusting the desired irregular or scalloped shape is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4765083
Abstract: A fishing line holder which cuts a fishing line removing a fishing lure and engages the fishing line leading to the rod and reel. The fishing line holder also forms a cavity so that when the fishing line is reeled in, the tip of the fishing rod is accepted into the fishing line holder so that the tip of the rod is protected. In this position, the fishing line is also held tight so that it will not become entangled during storage.

  • Patent number: 4765614
Abstract: A weight machine for use by persons confined to a wheelchair designed so that the person so confined may independently, or with minimal assistance, use the exercise machine. The frame of the exercise machine extends outwardly beyond the backrest and a plurality of ramp members are pivotally connected to said frame so that the person confined to a wheelchair can back onto the ramp members and each will pivot toward the machine thereby allowing the person confined to the wheelchair to back up to the machine until their back is against the backrest of the exercise machine. The backrest is positioned to provide support for the person's spine throughout the various exercises which may be performed. When the exercises are completed, the wheelchair can be rolled forward causing the ramp members to pivot away from the weight machine and allowing the person confined to the wheelchair to exit.
