  • Patent number: 7027616
Abstract: In transmitting image data from multiple cameras to an image processing section to produce a synthesized image from respective camera images, the amount of data transmitted through a transmission path can be cut down without sacrificing the quality of the synthesized image. In accordance with a correspondence between the synthesized and camera images as described on a mapping table, a resolution specifier specifies resolutions, which should be necessary for image synthesis, for respective areas of each camera image. A compressor, provided for each of the cameras, compresses the associated camera image data according to the resolutions specified. In this manner, the image data, which has been compressed in accordance with the correspondence between the synthesized and camera images, is transmitted through the transmission path.

  • Patent number: 7024741
Abstract: A fastening tool draws a mandrel (5) to allow a caulking portion of the mandrel to deform a stem of a rivet (2) so that workpieces are fastened together. The fastening tool used in this process includes a nosepiece having a protrusion. During caulking, the protrusion of the nosepiece applies a force on a flange of the rivet to form a recess in the rivet flange and thereby peel a coating of the workpieces. As a result, electrical conductivity between the workpieces and the rivet is obtained.

  • Patent number: 7022769
Abstract: Processable rubber compositions contain a vulcanized fluorocarbon elastomer dispersed in a matrix of a non-fluorine containing thermoplastic polymeric material. In one embodiment the matrix forms a continuous phase and the vulcanized elastomeric material is in the form of particles forming a non-continuous phase. The compositions are made by combining a curative, an uncured fluorocarbon elastomer, and a thermoplastic material, and heating the mixture at a temperature and for a time sufficient to effect vulcanization of the elastomeric material, while mechanical energy is applied to mix the mixture during the heating step. Shaped articles such as seals, gaskets, O-rings, and hoses may be readily formed from the rubber compositions according to conventional thermoplastic processes such as blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion.

  • Patent number: 7022538
Abstract: A screwdriver is disclosed having a shaft with a screw holder. The screw holder is receivable in a recess in a screw head, and has a spring element which can be elastically deformed transverse to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. A portion of the spring element may be engaged with a bore in the shaft and the bore may penetrate the front end of the shaft. The elastic segment may be disposed in a groove parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft segment so that, in the unstressed state of the spring element, at least a portion of the elastic segment protrudes beyond the cross-sectional surface of the shaft segment to engage a surface of the screw head recess to thereby retain the screw on the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7022923
Abstract: A locking device is for low-voltage circuit-breakers. It can travel into a frame including a lock and a control member to be activated through the lock. The control member interacts with an internal locking slide when a circuit-breaker is moved into the frame, the locking slide being displaceably guided in the circuit-breaker. If the locking device is activated (“locked”), the control member acts on the internal locking slide of the circuit-breaker and ensures that the circuit breaker cannot be switched on. If circuit-breakers with locking slides that can be displaced vertically are used, the control member is situated underneath the circuit-breaker.
