Abstract: A polymer building product for securement to the exterior of a building, the building product comprising a base portion securable to a substrate; a top portion slidingly telescopingly receivable over the base portion; and engaging elements, such as teeth, interengaging projections, etc. disposed on one or both of the base and top portions for securing the base and top portions together. The building product is characterized by a first, unsecured condition in which the top portion is slidingly received over the base portion in a first rotational orientation relative to the base portion and the top and base portions are freely slidingly separable, and a second, secured condition in which the top portion is slidingly received over the base portion in a second rotational orientation relative to the base portion and the top and base portions are secured together.
Abstract: In polymer building products, such as polymer siding, polymer roofing, j-blocks, gable vents, etc., characterized by fastener apertures each comprising an elongate slot bounded by a peripheral wall defining the slot, the peripheral wall having a height, a fastener centering-guide comprising a layer of material extending into the elongate slot from the peripheral wall thereof, the layer of material having defined therein (a) an elongate opening that is generally parallel to, but of smaller transverse dimensions than, the elongate slot, and (b) a predetermined location, defined intermediate the length of the elongate opening, for receiving a fastener therethrough, and wherein further the layer of material is characterized by a thickness that is less than the height of the peripheral wall and sufficiently thin so as to permit relative movement between a fastener extending through the centering guide and the polymer building product.
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel drug delivery technology. More particularly the invention relates to a method of delivering at least one therapeutic compound or a formulation comprising the at least one therapeutic compound to a patient: to a throwaway or reusable device for delivering at least one therapeutic compound or a formulation comprising the at least one therapeutic compound to a patient in a manner as set out by the method; to a pioneer projectile form use in said method; to formulations for use in said method and to an injectate comprising a pioneer projectile and formulation. It also relates to a disposable component containing either a pioneer projectile or an injectate.
Abstract: A cap assembly, having a fixedly attached dipstick, for a fill and/or guide tube is provided. The cap provides a fluid tight seal on the end of the tube, thereby preventing fluid leakage. The cap can be used on both linear and non-linear tubes because it requires about 45.degree. or less rotation to lock. The cap assembly comprises a housing for attachment on the open end of the tube. The housing is equipped with protruding lugs that interlock with grooves on the cap to form a fluid tight seal.
