    Abstract: Disclosed is a device for aiding the piloting of an aircraft in an approach phase during landing. The device includes a guidance system for aiding guidance of the aircraft. Controllers can be actuated by the system during an initial phase in accordance with a first guidance mode and during a terminal phase in accordance with a second guidance mode. The transition between the first and second guidance modes can be achieved automatically by the guidance system.
