Patent number: 5318245Abstract: A fishing reel has a brake apparatus disposed between a reel body and a spool shaft. The brake apparatus includes a rotary element mounted on the spool shaft to be rotatable relative thereto and to the reel body, a first brake mechanism for transmitting a braking force from the reel body to the rotary element, and a second brake mechanism for transmitting the braking force from the rotary element to the spool shaft. When the spool reaches a maximum rotating speed, rotating speed of the rotary element does not increase greatly since the first brake mechanism slips due to inertia of the rotary element. Subsequently, the rotating speed of the rotary element increases with lapse of time. As a result, the first brake mechanism effectively applies a braking force to the spool after the spool reaches the maximum speed.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1992Date of Patent: June 7, 1994Assignee: Shimano Inc.Inventors: Jun Sato, Shinichi Morimoto, Yoshiyuki Furomoto

Patent number: 5319552Abstract: Input according to Pin Yin notation and input according to Zhu Yin notation are allowed. Input data in the Pin Yin notation and input data in the Zhu Yin notation are respectively converted into corresponding Yin codes using a Pin Yin/Yin code conversion table and a Zhu Yin/Yin code conversion table. A dictionary stores a Chinese character code (corresponding to a word) in correspondence with an Yin code sequence. An input Yin code sequence is created from the input data. An Yin code in the input Yin code sequence and an Yin code in the Yin code sequence in the dictionary are compared with each other through a filter for masking a predetermined bit of the Yin code. A Chinese character code corresponding to Yin code sequences which coincide with each other by the comparison is read out from the dictionary, and a word (a Chinese character) corresponding to the Chinese character code is displayed.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1992Date of Patent: June 7, 1994Assignee: Omron CorporationInventor: Xingguo Zhong

Patent number: 5318243Abstract: A spinning reel includes a rotor rotatable relative to a reel body and supporting a bail. The rotor defines a plurality of teeth on an inner peripheral wall thereof. The reel body has a pawl mounted in a forward position thereof for engaging the teeth. The pawl is controllable by a cam rotatable through a wire spring interlocked to a rotor drive shaft. The cam retracts the pawl from the teeth when the drive shaft rotates in a line winding direction, and allows the pawl under a spring load to engage one of the teeth when the drive shaft rotates in a line unwinding direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1992Date of Patent: June 7, 1994Assignee: Shimano Inc.Inventors: Yasuhiro Hitomi, Noboru Sakaguchi

Patent number: 5313198Abstract: A first device (1) and a second device (2) can be communicated by an electromagnetic coupling. Data to be transmitted from the first device to the second device is converted into pulse signals of different duty ratios in accordance with the H or L level of the transmission data. Further, the oscillation of an oscillator (15) of the first device is intermittently performed in accordance with the H/L level of the pulse signal. Switching elements (39, 40) are provided for a resonance circuit (30) provided in the second device. When data is transmitted from the second device to the first device, the switching elements are turned on or off in accordance with the data. Thus, the electromagnetic coupling is intermittently performed. The oscillator of the first device at that time intermittently executes the oscillation at a third duty ratio.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1993Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Assignee: Omron Tateisi Electronics Co.Inventors: Iichi Hirao, Kazunori Morikawa, Hisato Fujisaka, Ryoichi Miyake

Patent number: 5312271Abstract: A pin plug is a connector which is inserted into a jack etc. In the pin plug, a cylindrical sleeve portion and an insulator body for fixing the sleeve portion and a metal center pin are integrally formed with rigid resin to form an insulator. Moreover, a flexible metal contact piece is attached to an opening portion formed at a part of the sleeve portion, and a non-rigid resin cover engages the outside of the insulator and the contact piece. When the thus constructed pin plug is inserted into a jack, a good electric contact state can be obtained between the pin plug and jack owing to the resiliency of the contact piece and the cover, and the pin plug can be inserted into or extracted from the jack with ease.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1992Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Assignee: SDK Company, Ltd.Inventors: Hiroichi Matsumoto, Masaki Matsukawa
