Abstract: A double-end punching and exercise bag assembly and cable where the bag is vertically adjustable by extending the cable through the bag assembly and providing clamp assemblies at both ends of the bag assembly each having collet-like radial spring fingers activated by an axially movable threaded nut.
Abstract: A method and apparatus comprising a hand held controller adapted to communicate with at least one item of process equipment. The controller communicates to an operator through a screen using at least one graphical image. The operator uses the image to assess at least one operational parameter of the equipment. The operator may manipulate the controller to alter the parameter of the equipment.
Abstract: A golf swing training system that straps to the rear or trailing arm of the golfer and guides movement of that arm to correctly delay release of the golf club on the downswing until the trailing arm bicep is approximately pointing toward the ground. A servo motor locks the trailing arm at the elbow from extension near the top of the backswing as the trailing arm reaches its fully bent position preventing premature club release during the initial downswing, and releases the elbow when the upper arm reaches a near vertical position on the downswing. The entire system is controlled by an on-board microprocessor encoded by input angle signals of the trailing arm bending movement adapted to the swing cycle of the individual golfer under study.
Abstract: A toilet assembly with a turbine bladed fan powered vent that is timed by user position and a shut-off delay. The vent discharges to a vertical gutter vent stack behind an adjacent wall. An automatic overflow control system is provided, if a clog occurs, including a bowl mounted plastic grill, that also discharges into the same vent stack is connected at its lower end to the main sewer drain. A flush assembly in the water tank is controlled by a relay activated by a pressure switch as soon as the user gets up from the toilet seat.
Abstract: An illuminatable translucent disc that spins and flies when thrown including chemiluminescent receiving clips that extend radially across the disc so when the disc spins in darkness, the entire disc appears illuminated. The central disc portion has a smooth lower surface to not only improve aerodynamics but also to enhance finger spinning.
Abstract: A thermostat designed to accommodate service graphics after sale by the manufacturer directly or indirectly to the installer for installation at the ultimate consumer's location. The thermostat housing has a compartment door that is appropriately sized to receive the service graphics of the installer. The installer purchases the thermostat with no graphics and at his option orders replacement doors with his personalized graphics imprinted, from the manufacturer or its agent, and replaces the original doors with the replacements before selling the thermostat to the ultimate consumer. The doors themselves are unique in that upon outward manual flexure of the door panel a pair of connectors tilt out of recesses in the housing permitting easy removal of the doors.
Abstract: An air valve for a poly bag that permits the escape of air from the bag as it is filled by a filling tube. The air valve consists of a plurality of slitted openings in one top corner of the bag and a valve flap mounted in the poly bag near the slitted openings that closes and seals the openings as filling material engages and moves the flap.
Abstract: A programmable thermostat with a heat-cool switch, a temperature value input, and a fan switch with on, auto, and recirculating positions, and a microprocessor that superimposes a fan recirculating mode or cycle on the heat-cool or off modes or cycles by determining when the heat-cool or off cycles have been off for a user selectable time period; 2 hours, for example, and if so initiating a fan cycle for a predetermined time; 12 minutes for example, to provide a more uniform room temperature by mixing hotter and cooler air and cleaner air by running more space air through the heating and cooling system filter assembly.
