  • Patent number: 7375282
Abstract: A structured cabling system includes a plurality of data cables (6A-6F), one end of each cable being secured to a jack of a multiple jack assembly (1) and the other end of each cable being secured to an individual jack (9A-9F) located within a protective enclosure (11). The individual cables are mechanically secured to at least the protective enclosure (11) and/or a strain relief member (8) within the cable bundle is secured to the protective enclosure (11). The entire assembly may be pre-formed under factory conditions and delivered to an installation site. The multiple jack assembly (1) may then be secured, preferably by snap-fitting, to a rack assembly and the protective enclosure (10) may be used to draw the entire cable length to the required position. Once the cable is in position the protective enclosure (10) is discarded and the jack secured to their final use positions.

  • Patent number: 5518305
Abstract: To infinitely variably adjust the distance between a reaction disc and an interacting second part of a bipartite valve piston in a completely assembled vacuum brake power booster, which is already mounted to the automotive vehicle, a tubular sleeve is provided, arranged coaxially to a piston rod that actuates the valve piston, and is in engagement with a first part of the valve piston, connected with the second part by a threaded union, to apply a torque to the first piston part. For this purpose, the sleeve has at its end projecting from the control housing with an extension permitting rotation of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5438417
Abstract: A method and system for gauging deviations of a surface of a test part from a preselected nominal surface profile is disclosed. The system includes a support having a master surface that is substantially a matched or mating surface of the nominal surface profile of the test part and a thin layer of an attenuating medium such as a dye liquid between the master and test surfaces. Electromagnetic radiation is directed through the support and master surface and through the attenuating layer onto the reflective surface of the test part. An image sensor such as a camera is positioned to receive an image of the radiation reflected by the test part surface back through the attenuating layer and support, with the intensity of such radiation across the image varying as a function of the deviation of the test part surface from the nominal surface profile.
