Abstract: A method for maintaining an efficiently working fuel system comprising: passing the fuel through a first filter of a multiple filter controller; monitoring a level of pressure established within the multiple filter controller as the fuel passes through the first filter, wherein monitoring comprises providing a pressure gage; detecting when the level of pressure has reached a predetermined level, wherein such detecting comprises providing a vacuum switch; redirecting the fuel from the first filter to a second filter when the predetermined level of pressure has been detected, wherein redirecting comprises manipulating an inlet valve of the multiple filter controller such that the inlet valve stops the flow of the fluid to the first filter and redirects the flow of the fluid to a second filter; and repairing or removing the first filter from the fuel system while the fuel is simultaneously flowing through the second filter.
Abstract: A sports training device comprising a stand alone unit comprising a ball securing member attached to a telescopic member. The ball securing member comprises a collar, one or more arms attached to the collar, and one or more receiving elements attached to each arm, wherein each receiving element is configured to hold a playing object, such as, a basketball. The collar is adjustably attached to the telescopic member, wherein such attachment effects the variation in the position of each receiving element. Furthermore, the to telescopic member is adjustable in height. The training device, then, allows an athlete to practice throwing a basketball from a variety of positions when received from a variety of heights from the ground of the court.
Abstract: A multi-axes contouring machine for contouring a workpiece within a cavity of a main frame by moving a machining part along one or more axes simultaneously to the movement of the workpiece along one or more different axes. In an exemplary embodiment, the machining part simultaneously moves along an X and Y axis, while a workpiece moves along a Z axis. Here, the main frame comprises two adjacent side walls each having an opening cut out. A first carriage is attached to one of the side walls to move in the X direction, and a second carriage is attached to the first carriage to move in the Y direction. The machining part is actuated by the X and Y axes-oriented carriages. On another side wall, a carriage is attached to move in a Z direction, and the workpiece is actuated by the Z axis-oriented carriage.
Abstract: A punching apparatus for forming a series of slots in a board, comprising: an upper wheel and a lower wheel, wherein the upper wheel is opposed to the lower wheel, and further wherein: the upper wheel comprises a series of punches disposed on a frame of the upper wheel, wherein each punch comprises a shearing portion that extends from the frame, and which is configured in the shape of a slot; and the lower wheel comprises a series of mating dies, wherein each mating die of the series of mating dies comprises a cavity, wherein the shearing portion of a particular punch is gradually disposed within the cavity of a particular mating die of the series of mating dies as the upper wheel and the lower wheel move in relation to each other.
Abstract: An asymmetric hydraulic press electric generator that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy using hydraulic pressure. The generator employs the principle that force acting on a small area can create a much larger force by virtue of hydrostatic pressure and that a large amount of energy can be carried by a small flow of highly pressurized fluid. Given that the device does not use any natural resources to produce electric power, it is a radically new method of generating clean, renewable energy. This innovative technology aims to change the current destructive cycle of energy production into a constructive cycle that benefits all.
Abstract: An in-line process for forming pre-finished siding manufactured from cellular poly vinyl chloride comprising embossing, milling, parting, punching, and coating the poly vinyl chloride such that the resulting siding is suited for use in an environment exposed to a wide range of fluctuating temperatures and moisture. The process accommodates the natural expansion and contraction of cellular poly vinyl chloride by producing a novel milled clapboard configuration that, when used as siding, can be installed to create a historically correct clapboard installation.
Abstract: A binding assembly comprising a binding which comprises a boot platform and a positioning unit, wherein the positioning unit secures the binding assembly to a sports board. The positioning unit comprises an anchoring subunit comprising a central member; and a locking subunit comprising a handle in communication with an engaging member. At one moment the handle exerts a first force on the engaging member thereby causing the engaging member to move towards the central member until the engaging member is in contact with the central member, at which point the handle is maneuvered to lock the binding assembly into position. At another moment, the handle exerts a second force on the engaging member thereby causing the engaging member to move away from the central member, thereby unlocking the binding assembly. When unlocked, the binding is rotatable about a central longitudinal axis, and when unlocked, the binding is fixed in position.
Abstract: A method for instructing a horse to jump over a barricade, comprising acclimating the horse to the barricade, wherein such acclimation comprises providing a jump wherein the jump comprises an overlay having visually depicted thereon a realistic image of the barricade; providing the horse with visual access to the image depicted on the first overlay; and having the horse jump over the jump. The horse may be instructed to jump over an endless number of types of barricades simply by removing the overlay from the jump and replacing it with an overlay having depicted thereon a visual image of the desired type of barricade. By repeating the jumping process over the overlay bearing an image of the particular type of barricade, the horse will proficiently and cost effectively learn to jump over the actual barricade when presented to the barricade.
Abstract: A method for forming a polyurethane coated cellular polyvinylchloride board, comprising: de-ionizing a cellular polyvinylchloride board; vacuuming the cellular polyvinylchloride board; coating the cellular polyvinylchloride board with a coating comprising a polyurethane-based paint and a catalyst to form a coated cellular polyvinylchloride board; and curing the coated cellular polyvinylchloride board.
