Abstract: A subterranean coupler for slidably receiving a pipe therethrough and for coupling the pipe to a subterranean vessel. The coupler is mountable to a reinforcing grid prior to the coupler and reinforcing grid being cast in a concrete wall of the subterranean vessel. The coupler includes a longitudinally-extending axis and a cylindrical wall defined about the axis, the wall having an inner surface, an outer surface, and first and second ends. The coupler further includes a plurality of radially-extending, circumferentially-spaced engagement members integrally-formed with the outer surface. The engagement members are engageable with grid members of the reinforcing grid to mount the cylindrical wall to the reinforcing grid prior to casting.

Abstract: An audible subsurface fishing lure, for travelling below the surface of a body of water when the lure is retrieved. The lure includes a subsurface lure body having a front, a rear, and a longitudinal axis extending between the front and the rear. A spinner is rotatably coupled to the lure body and rotatable about a first axis generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. Furthermore, a contact member is pivotally coupled to the lure body and engageable with the spinner when the spinner is rotating to produce sound for attracting fish.

Abstract: A water heating apparatus having structure for recovering sensible and latent heat from flue gases generated in a heater thereof and transferring the heat to water to be heated. The apparatus has a closed circuit for liquid, such as water, in which are positioned two heat exchangers. One of the heat exchangers is positioned in the heater of the apparatus for transferring heat from a burner of the heater to liquid in the closed circuit. The other heat exchanger is positioned in a water pass-through system to heat the water therein. The apparatus has an air pass-through system for carrying flue gases from the heater out an exhaust pipe. The flue gases travel through a third heat exchanger positioned in the water pass-through system whereby sensible and latent heat from the flue gases are transferred to water in the water pass-through system, further heating the water therein.

Abstract: An electrical outlet assembly installable in a wall of a building for use in connecting an electrical appliance to a source of electrical power. The electrical outlet assembly includes an electrical outlet and a housing for releasably receiving the electrical outlet. The electrical outlet has at least one outlet socket for receiving an electrical connector of the appliance, an outlet connector, and means for electrically connecting the outlet socket to the outlet connector. The housing has a power terminal, the power terminal having a housing socket for releasably receiving the outlet connector, and means for electrically connecting the housing socket to a power source. The housing also has an opening sized to receive the electrical outlet therethrough and for communicating with an exterior of the wall when the housing is mounted inset in the wall.

Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing a computer or office equipment component to a work surface. The device is adjustable for use with different sizes of components, and includes a base having first and second sections that can be moved relative to each other. First and second arms extend from the base to receive the equipment component to be secured therebetween. The device includes a generally U-shaped clamping member having an intermediate restraining bar for engaging the office equipment component and first and second parallel arms extending from the restraining member. The first and second parallel arms of the clamping member are telescopically engaged with the first and second arms, respectively, of the base. Locking means associated with the first parallel arms permit the restraining bar to be selectively locked into one of a number of possible positions relative to the base, wherein the equipment component can be clamped between the base and the restraining bar.

Abstract: The invention provides an accessory for use in copying a page of a bound material using a copier having a scanning window and an optical reader on one side of the window. The accessory includes a page engaging member for engaging a face of the page to be copied, the page engaging member having a light transmitting element engageable with a main portion of the face, and a side edge engageable with the face near a binding region of the bound material. The light transmitting element is adapted to transmit light from the copier to the main portion and back to the copier for processing by the optical reader. The accessory further includes a locator coupled to the page engaging member for locating the page in a selected position relative to the light transmitting element and means coupled to the page engaging member for positioning the accessory relative to the copier with the light transmitting element in registration with the window.

Abstract: The invention provides a reflector device and a reflector system for mounting to a vehicle having front and rear seats to allow a person in the front seat to view an infant in a rearwardly facing safety seat attached to the rear seat. The reflector system includes a pair of reflector devices of which one may be in accordance with the invention. The reflector device in accordance with the invention is mountable upright on a back of the rear seat and includes a mounting assembly and a reflector with a forwardly-facing reflecting surface pivotally connected to the mounting assembly so as to be pivotable in three-dimensions. The reflector device is preferably mounted to one side of the infant and has an upward extent below the rear window of the vehicle so as not to obstruct a driver's view through the rear window and to not present a hazard to the infant.
