  • Patent number: 4973013
Abstract: A seeker having a gyroscopic spin stabilized optical arrangement adapted to gimbal relative to a body in response to a current fed to a precession coil by a processor. Gimballing action of such optical arrangement within the body is measured by a voltage induced in a cage coil. The precession coil and cage coil are mounted adjacent to each other. The seeker includes a cage coil compensator comprising a differencing network and a differentiator. Changes in the current fed to the precession coil induces unwanted voltage in the adjacent cage coil. The differentiator is fed by the current in the precession coil to produce a voltage related to the rate of change in the current in the precession coil and hence, related to the undesired voltage induced in the cage coil. The differencing network is fed by the voltage produced by the differentiator and the total voltage induced in the cage coil to subtract from such total voltage the undesired portion thereof induced therein by the adjacent precession coil.

  • Patent number: 4955079
Abstract: A subharmonic mixer is shown to comprise two pairs of matched antiparallel GaAs diodes disposed on a dielectric slab and operative with microstrip circuitry. By suppressing the fundamental mixing products, mixing the radio frequency signal with the second harmonic of a local oscillator (LO) signal and using relative phase differences of the LO signals in the two pairs of diodes, undesirable effects from spurious signals are minimized.

  • Patent number: 4952894
Abstract: An improved corporate feed network for distributing radio frequency energy to elements of an antenna array is shown. The corporate feed network comprises an improved feed coupler, including a quadrature hybrid junction for dividing radio frequency (R.F.) energy from an input port into the two waveguides and a plurality of secondary waveguides disposed orthogonally to the first and second waveguides, each of the secondary waveguides having narrow walls common to broad walls of the first and second waveguides with apertures formed through common sections of such walls, the common sections being offset to impart directional characteristics to the corporate feed network.
