Abstract: A deterministic microcontroller includes a plurality of blocks of cache memories formed on the same integrated circuit as the microprocessor unit. A corresponding plurality of hardware contexts for the microcontroller is provided by the plurality of sets of hardware registers. A context manager controls the selection of the hardware registers such that contexts are changed within one bus cycle and a plurality of hardware contexts are provided. The deterministic microcontroller includes a configurable input/output interface that is programmable to handle any one of a plurality of interfaces that embedded applications might have, including communication protocols and bus interfaces, data acquisition from multiple sensors and actuators, and controls of various motors.

Abstract: An object registration system includes a server system and a database accessible via a worldwide network of computer. The system is utilized to register a user for registration of an object. Abstract: A light source that utilizes light emitting diodes that emit white light is disclosed. The diodes are mounted on an elongate member having at least two surfaces upon which the light emitting diodes are mounted. Abstract: A control circuit is described in which a single input terminal receives digital control signals and analog control signals. In accordance with the principles of the invention, the control circuit includes an automatic power down circuit to place the control circuit into a low power draw or “sleep” mode whenever predetermined conditions are present. The automatic power down circuit monitors the single input terminal and when no demand for motor operation occurs for a predetermined period of time, the automatic power down circuit operates to place the control circuit into the low power draw mode.
