Abstract: An electrical connector (1) including a body (2) and a switch (10) disposed within an annular cavity (180) in the body and adjacent an annular opening (184) in the body. The switch has leads (162,164) connected to an electric circuit for controlling connection of an electrical signal to a center conductor of the connector. The body includes a bore (161) therein leading from an exterior surface of the body to the annular cavity. The bore is adapted in size to receive conductors (162,164) connected to the leads of the switch (10). The conductors connect the switch leads to the electric circuit for controlling application of the electrical signal to the center conductor (18) of the connector.
Abstract: An electrical connector including an outer shell, and an integral rotatable cam shell positioned over the outer shell. The cam shell has at least one switch actuating cam extending radially from an outer surface thereof. Upon mating of the connector with a mating connector assembly, the cam shell is rotated to cause the cam to contact a switch and thereby change the switch from an open state wherein current flow through the connector is interrupted to a closed state wherein current is allowed to flow through the connector and the mating connector. Preferably, the connector further includes a spring positioned between the outer shell and the cam shell. The spring biases the cam shell against the outer shell axially in a direction away from the mating connector.
Abstract: An electrical connector including a connector body having a first end and a second end, an axially movable sleeve disposed within the body, and at least one switch actuating pin in contact with the sleeve and axially movable therewith. A first end of the switch body is adapted to removably receive a mating connector for creating an electrical connection between the connector and the mating connector. Upon mating of the first end of the body with the mating connector, a portion of the mating connector contacts the sleeve and moves the sleeve axially within the body in the direction of the second end of the body. Movement of the sleeve causes corresponding movement of the switch actuating pin whereby a first end of the switch actuating pin extends outward from the body. The connector may be positioned adjacent a normally open switch with one terminal of the switch connected to a center conductor the connector and the other terminal of the switch being connected to an electrical signal source.
Abstract: A portable table assembly including a table and a clamp. Plugs extend from a surface of the table and matingly engage and lock within corresponding receptacles in the clamp to secure the table to the clamp. The clamp is secured to a fixed position, and has a adjustable leg which extends slightly forward of the clamp to prevent downward rotation of the clamp caused by loads on the table. An optional adjustable outboard leg may be fixed to the distal end of the table, and may be folded under the table when not in use. In another embodiment, a table is provided with mounting brackets fixed to its end. Rail brackets are mounted to a surgical table rail, and the mounting brackets fit within a slot in the rail brackets. The table is secured to the rail brackets by inserting a handled pin into the rail bracket through a slot in the mounting bracket. The distal end of the table is supported by an outboard leg assembly.
Abstract: An air ionization device for use in industrial, commercial or residential settings which includes a core section shaped to provide internal venturi action in order to force air outwardly from an ozone manifold. Air fins are provided at the front of the cabinet to prevent turbulence of air as it exits the cabinet. The device further includes electronics for providing controlled negative ozone and ionization output, and a 12 VDC power supply for operating system fans and relays. The device can operate as a master unit to control up to four slave units (i.e. up to five units on one system) for providing even distribution of ions and ozone over large industrial areas. In addition, various features are provided to allow for facile servicing of the device, including a purging hose mounted inside the core, removably replaceable ionization needles, and ozone relief holes positioned directly behind the ionization needles for constantly purging the needles and keeping them clean.
