  • Patent number: 5058758
Abstract: A removeable protective cover for attachment to the valve and gauge assembly commonly used with portable compressed gas cylinders. The protector is easily attached to an existing valve, regulator and gauge assembly in basically two mating elements constructed for strength to absorb unexpected impact to the valve assembly. The protective cover is removeably attached to the gas cylinder and is placed adjustably into counter opposing contact with the valve assembly so that the force of any impact to the valve assembly area is transmitted through the protective cover, rather than into potentially damaging contact with the valve assembly. The mating halves of the protective cover are clamped around the threaded neck of the cylinder for basic support, constructed to totally enclose the valve assembly, and include contact between the cover and the valve assembly which may be adjusted by means of locking screws, while still exposing the reporting gauges through openings in the protective cover.

  • Patent number: 4965917
Abstract: An improved textile bobbin cleaning system for removing fiberglass remnants, rovings, yarn, waste or the like from a textile fiber spool, core or bobbin in order that same may reused to store or rewind with new textile fibers, threads, yarn or the like. The invention utilizes an endless indexing conveyor system which aligns bobbins which need to be stripped of remnant fibers before a geared oscillating water jet cutting system which hydraulically cleans the bobbins by cutting the fiber remnants. A pneumatic clamping system has the flexibility and utility to secure bobbins of different design and dimension for the hydraulic stripping action. In addition, a sealed waste conveyor carries away the fibrous waste designed to eliminate waste accumulation on the conveyor mechanism and removes the cuttings for disposal. Also a bobbin removal conveyor is provided for which removes processed and cleared bobbins from the cleaning area to be packaged for transporting for further bobbin usage.

  • Patent number: 4913301
Abstract: An improved receptacle for solid waste, trash, garbage, and discarded materials, commonly known as a "dumpster" generally recognized for commercial or extraordinary utility. The invention utilizes a standard body component which serves as a base unit for manufacture of all commercial sizes and which may be enlarged by the addition of extension members which increase volume. The invention is designed to be manufactured in reenforceable components to permit nesting for ease of transportation. Additionally, the invention is designed for the clean dumping into a compactor truck or other collection device without being submerged into the compactor. The invention is also designed to facilitate the dumping process, improve the routine maintenance demands and produce a more durable receptacle as will be more specifically show in the accompany specification.

  • Patent number: 4599031
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved apparatus for refuse collection vehicles and in particular, an improved mechanism for compacting trash and loading the refuse collection vehicle with compressed refuse. A special rotary compactor operates to compact relatively small quantities of trash which are forced into the storage compartment of the refuse collection vehicle. The machine prepacks garbage in relatively small quantities which upon full compaction is forced by continued compacting action from a collection hopper into the garbage collection and carrying compartment.

  • Patent number: 4527602
Abstract: A duplicating attachment for an ordinary turning lathe which includes means for converting a conventional wood or metal lathe into a precise but simple tool for duplicating a particular pattern or model turning. Means are provided to attach a pattern or template to a lathe which is manually traced by an operator with a feeler member. Means are provided to interconnect the said feeler member or tracing element with a rotary cutting tool which contacts and cuts a lathe-rotated work piece simultaneously with the tracing operation, creating an exact replica of the pattern or template.
